I posted on this just before it went 'poof'. The OP had just made a very angry comment about another poster's comment - and said that she was going to ask for the whole thread to be deleted because of this one, unpleasant post.
Now I see that MNHQ say it was deleted to protect her privacy! IMO, this is not true. The OP requested the deletion because of a nasty post - she had posted nothing on the thread that gave away her identity or location - so her privacy was not under threat!
If MNHQ are going to delete whole threads, because a poster is cross or upset, I would just like it if they were honest about it. Though I cannot see why they deleted the thread at all - the nasty comment (and one other agreeing with it) were not nice, and if I were the OP, I would have been pissed off too - but I have seen way nastier comments - and way more upset OPs too - on threads that have been allowed to stand.
Plus, I didn't think it was site policy to delete threads just because the OP got an answer they didn't like?
