Please, oh wise, kind and beneficent (not to mention beauteous and radiant) MNHQ can we please have lilac flowers for the 25th of May?
For those not in the know, on the Discworld, this is the date of The People's Glorious Revolution, when those killed doing their duty are remembered by their comrades.
In our world, many now support the idea, not just to remember the wonder that was Sir Terry Pratchett, but also to remember those whose lives are affected by Alzheimer's and to raise awareness of this hideous embuggerance.
It's only a little thing, but it would be a lovely little thing.

Bogeyface - where did you order your lilac lapel pin? I was looking at the RSPB flower pins in our local garden centre the other day, but they don't seem to have a lilac one.

ThisIsNotWhatIWasAfter · 27/03/2015 20:32

Oh MN you're bloody wonderful Flowers (of the lilac variety) and yes I do just have something in my eye

MrsKCastle · 27/03/2015 20:43

Aww, hadn't heard of this but it's a fab idea. I'll have to see where I can get some RL lilac.

That's lovely. We'll be driving across the country that day but I will check in and post my lilac with pride.

Bizarrely all my posts are highlighted lilac. I chose it ages ago.

RustyBear · 28/03/2015 18:06

I'm hoping to have some real lilac from the tree outside our bedroom window - I actually thought it flowered earlier than late May (we've only lived here 24 years, why would I know something like that...)

ArcheryAnnie · 29/03/2015 14:37

Just seen this - it's lovely, and thank you so much, RebeccaMN.

BernardlookImaprostituterobotf · 29/03/2015 23:30

Thank you - I await the confusion of everyone else but it seems quite fitting for it to be launched amongst a lilac carpet over the boards.
V pretty pin too.
Thanks

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 31/03/2015 23:57
