Hi Justine,

Quick q - Can I ask approx what proportion of clicks on active convos are on:

all topics
without chat
without buying/selling
without chat or buying/selling
unanswered threads

I am curious because I only ever click on all topics (or check the unanswereds in case anyone has been ignored etc.) and I would guess that a massive proportion of people do the same...

I am interested, though... do many users go for one of the other flavours (without chat / selling etc.) ?

I appreciate this will change shortly with the SN topic too...

TIA, and if this is too 'confidential' to answer, just say so and I'll continue to contemplate my navel.

Good question.
I do like you, just active convos, nothing added, nothing taken away. Have a look at unanswered threads once per visit, just to see if anyone could be answered.

Great title hub!

I always clicked on active convos as I hadn't even noticed 'without xxxx' , but when I saw someone mention it on a thread a few weeks ago I started using 'without buying/selling' most of the time.

When I first joined MN I used 'last hour' all the time, as I'd actually assumed that 'all topic' would take me to a topic list (like the 'talk' button) instead of actual conversations.

Does MN actually monitor this sort of stuff then?

I always click just on all topics but until now had never noticed "unanswered threads" - that is so sweet (but is only last 24 hours? Would be nice if it was longer )

what does find new messages do?
I only ever click on all topics or unanswered if I am bored. I only recently foudn out abt unanswered too, I think I ignore most of it.
