Message withdrawn at posters request

  • what does this mean?? Is it that the poster has requested their own post be deleted or that someone else has?? I'm just intrigued and also nosey to know why!!

RowanMumsnet · 09/01/2015 16:42

Hello

Yes it always means that the poster themselves has requested it.

IonaMumsnet · 10/01/2015 15:28

Yes, that's basically it DandyHighwayman. There usually needs to be a good reason for it. Often it's accidentally outing themselves in RL or posting something in the wrong place. If you ask nicely though (and send gin) we'll sometimes withdraw it if you've just been a daftie accidentally, as long as it doesn't ruin a thread for everyone else.

Ah. I've just looked that up, TheCunnyFunt. We were mindreading. You just hadn't thought it yet. We're THAT good... (or it might have been a typo and should have said 'poster's request' Blush)
