...is really really starting to annoy me on Mumsnet at the moment.

It seems to be creeping insidiously across the boards. I have no problem with acronyms or abbreviations but this is like listening to one of those radio stations where all they do is shout in a monotone.

It is also coupled with a LOT of bad spelling and grammar.

Can't think of where I've seen it and been bothered by it, it must go over my head?
Do I do it?

I say pls rather than please soemtimes.

Oh but I'm annoying in other ways, I type back to front and miss letters out and don't think about my spelling and don't preview or check I just bash out posts and hope I hit the right keys.
Sometimes I even feel a bit bad about my typing, but only sometimes.

I really do think and type at exactley the same time so i type really fast but am not good at typing, even though I got a CSE Grade 1!

TC, I always think of pls as short-hand - I have to stop myself using it if I'm doing a quick handwritten message to someone!

I don't mind typos either

typos are fine, text speak is chavvy ! I find cod's posts easier to read than text speak

Mumsnet wouldn't be mumsnet without Cods posts. They're great and make me smile if not laugh every time. I love them and anyway, I'd be a fine one to talk.

so because people feel to ype in text their "thick" how condescending and yea prob spelt that wrong!!

my posts are prob amongst the ones you cant or wont read seeing as i type so very badly, shorten words,use slang, make gramatical and spelling mistakes but so what??!! this isn't some intelegence competition, it's a forum.
somewhere where people of all diversities conversate. I am fed up off someone or the other thinking its ok to put others down.

I'm sorry to say that i find a few posts quite arogant to be honest.

I find the amount of swearing in threads, esp titles to be more offensive.
