"Add a Message

It is with great regret that we have to ask members to refrain from any further discussion of Gina Ford, her methods or her books on the site. To find out why click here. We'd be very grateful if members could report any mentions of Gina Ford using the "contact Mumsnet" facility (the little red exclamation mark to the right of each posting). Many thanks. MNHQ. "

Never seen it before.

Excellent letter Twinset

I used myself as an example of a classic MN poster in my e-mails (some of them - tailored to each) ie Mum of three, one Sn, Dh works nights, full time student living away from friends and family.

Let's see if we get anything then guys.....

CountessDracula · 07/08/2006 17:08

can someone not transcribe it, editing out nobody's name????

JanH · 07/08/2006 17:08

I'm getting a very satisfying image of Ursula the witch (Disney Little Mermaid) swelling up into a terrifying black storm when she sees how this is blowing up

SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair · 07/08/2006 17:09

Do you think Justine et al feel supported?

GeorginaA · 07/08/2006 17:09

Interesting - I blogged about this today (being very careful in my wording). About 10 minutes ago I had two hits from a law firm searching on nobody's name in quotes. I've checked google and I'm not even listed in the first TWENTY PAGES under that search term, so they're certainly doing a lot of trawling.

twinsetandpearls · 07/08/2006 17:10

This website is useful for contacing your mp and laso recieving alerts if an issue you are intersted in is being raised by your mp or any other.

katierocket · 07/08/2006 17:10

LOL JanH - perfect analogy

ocd · 07/08/2006 17:11

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/08/2006 17:11

wow - that's quite something hey GA - shame they've got nothing better to do with their time hey LOL.

twinsetandpearls · 07/08/2006 17:12

Thanks SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair, I am sure this is something Joan will be intersted in, she was instrumental here in getting our homestart/surestart up and running and family support is one of her issues.

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 07/08/2006 17:12

pmsl at some of the suggested additions/changes to my letter. twinsetandpearls - I think your letter is great - has a bit more reality in it than mine.

WideWebWitch · 07/08/2006 17:12

I can see the Standard online, and I'm looking at page 8 but can't see anything.

WorldFamousAuthor · 07/08/2006 17:12

Must be costing nobody a fortune

Northerner · 07/08/2006 17:12

Hi guys, been out all day. Anyone around to recap what's going on?

twinsetandpearls · 07/08/2006 17:13

twinsetandpearls · 07/08/2006 17:14

Mercy · 07/08/2006 17:14

Georgina, do you mean you've got a site meter - or whatever it's called?

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 07/08/2006 17:15

and here's me thinking you were a bit of a Hyacinth Bucket what with your twinset etc etc

twinsetandpearls · 07/08/2006 17:16

It si quite easy to get a site meter, we have a blog that allows dd to keep in touch with her dad and other family and we were offered a site meter, I get emails once a week feeding back to me the number of visits and at what time.

GeorginaA · 07/08/2006 17:16

Ah, I'm on page 1 of Google Blog search which is why

Oh I have quite sophisticated site tracking stuff - can come in handy sometimes

wannaBe1974 · 07/08/2006 17:16

AvaLou · 07/08/2006 17:19

SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair · 07/08/2006 17:22

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/08/2006 17:23
