It is with great regret that we have to ask members to refrain from any further discussion of Gina Ford, her methods or her books on the site. To find out why click here. We'd be very grateful if members could report any mentions of Gina Ford using the "contact Mumsnet" facility (the little red exclamation mark to the right of each posting). Many thanks. MNHQ. "

Never seen it before.

Ive emailed the ITN with a link to the Mumsnet statement etc, so we will see what happens.

Local radio stations and papers are always good ones to contact as its easy to get stuff in small newspapers, and the small newspapers tend to sell news to the bigger people.... apparently.

AvaLou · 07/08/2006 13:59

Not sure the 'dip the dummy in yer lager' sun readers would give a flying f**k to be honest..

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 14:00

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 14:00

bu she sed 2 du it so it mus b rite. Baybee sleeps if i du dat!

K9JO · 07/08/2006 14:02

Don't want to offend anyone but is it likely that a Sun reader (and I use that term lightly) would ever have encountered one of the you know whats?

Perhaps broadsheets and intelligent people are the way forward or do we need Trisha to give us the answer in an envelope?

katierocket · 07/08/2006 14:02

Can't believe Bad Mothers Club is having the same problem. IT's just utterly bizarre really (and I'm sure very shite for Justine, carrie et al).

I think you'd be better off going for the editors/journos that write for the women's pages rather than people like ITN etc. They are much more likely to get it.

saltire · 07/08/2006 14:03

I was sending an email about this to a friend and accidently sent it the sun.
You can always rely on me to lower the tone. Am just wondering now about the St Andrew's Citizen!

saltire · 07/08/2006 14:04

And the Fife Courier!

SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair · 07/08/2006 14:04

No, not about the parenting- but the Sun knows the Nanny State is ruining our worls- appeal on as many issues as possible

E-mailed them anyway. Mentioing Dh works for them

AvaLou · 07/08/2006 14:05

I have written to junior pregnancy & baby magazine, they have run a few articles on her so it will be interesting to see if they print it. I bloody hope so as I spent 45 minutes on it getting it right!

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 14:05

fun girrafeski!

saltire · 07/08/2006 14:06

Or the Scotsman - now that's a good paper

katierocket · 07/08/2006 14:06

India Knight would be a good one

SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair · 07/08/2006 14:06

Shame this morning is off really, isn't it?

Racking my brains for other ideas........

never a fruitful endeavour however

Anyone know anyone in The Tories? Another example of the Nanny State again (but Maybe not Boris after the other day LOL)

Kiskidee · 07/08/2006 14:07

more CLBB reviews interesting reading the first 2

AvaLou · 07/08/2006 14:07

How about the Guardian 'family ' supplement? They ran a pretty scathing article on 'supernanny' a couple of weeks ago.

anthonykiedisbitontheside · 07/08/2006 14:07

If you're writing to the scotsman make clear who you are talking about as she has a namesake who is a Scottish liberal MP.

SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair · 07/08/2006 14:08

Um, Wasn't Mr cametron on here recently?

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 14:08

My local MP is tory but an alcoholic so wouldnt be interested.....

saltire · 07/08/2006 14:08

Well i have been having a discussion with Menzies Campbell over the high-handidness (is that a word?) of the DHE/MOD so next time i email him i could mention this!?

katierocket · 07/08/2006 14:09

Yes Decca Aitkenhead who wrote the supernanny piece would be a good one.
If anyone has email contact for her or Inida Knight they would definitely be interested I think.

Kiskidee · 07/08/2006 14:10

d'you think gordon brown with his 2 babies are following any kind of parenting regime? should we also email him since he seems to be pm in waiting?
