Pop ups - aaaaarrrrghhhhh!!!

This is new and only seems to be happening in 'Chat' threads.

Lots and lots of pop ups ostensibly from yahoo directing me to Jellysplash and gambling sites.

Is it just me?

Sorry if you've been getting confusing messages! We can absolutely block vexatious pop-ups and so on - we're sending on your screenshots to our ads team and they're on the case. We hope to get rid of 'em soon.

Do please send any more screenshots to [email protected] FAO Ad Team and we'll send them on (the images are useful to them in tracking down the source of the ads).

I'm getting them all the time now - new today. Will have to give Mumsnet a miss for a few days and hope you've fixed it by then. It's driving me nuts! Using Chrome, Windows laptop. Only happening on this site.

Still getting the JellySplash pop up. This time the ad was a side one rather than a top banner one.

Got Jellyflash pop up just now. Infuriating it is still happening.

I've just had a Jellysplash pop-up. WTF is it?! I'm on iPad, never had an advertising pop-up before. No idea how to do screen grabs, if it's not too time-consuming please can sb post instructions? It was the Everyone's playing... one.

I've never know a website this size to be so glitchy. I don't think a day passes without some issue.

I just had the yahoo jelly splash pop up. I'm on ipad, safari.

Wingdingdong press the home button at the bottom of your iPad and the off/on button on the top edge at the right simultaneously. It will take a screen grab and save it to your camera roll.

Oh I just got one and came to look. It was red, yellow and green and said your opinion matters, click here to give feedback.

I clicked on the x and closed it. No idea where it came from but whattaloadofshit.

I just had javanet pop up and tell me I was running and outdated version of Java script and I needed to update to view.
I clicked on the "back" button, and then went back into the thread I'd been trying to view and didn't get the java thing again. Bizarre.
