The Mumsnet Book of Bedtime Stories: have you got your copy yet?

So ... you may remember that, back in September 2012, we launched a comp with Walker Books in which we asked MNers to send in their tales for children, for the chance of inclusion in a bedtime stories anthology. We received over 350(!) entries and, after many afternoons' reading, much deliberation and some wrangling, we whittled them down to a longlist of 20, which we passed on to the former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen. He picked his 10 favourite, and the Mumsnet Book of Bedtime Stories - by Mumsnetters for Mumsnetters children - was born.

We just wanted to give you a heads-up, in case you missed it, that the book is now out, and available - in all good bookshops, as they say, and also via an exclusive offer on Walkers website (at the special price of £9.99 - with a limited edition print for the first 150 MNers who buy a copy). Get one, do; the stories are fantastic and it'd make a lovely Christmas present, if we do say so ourselves Grin. Happy reading (oh, and if you like it, do of course feel free to go and say so on the reviews section of any large, online retailers whose websites you might happen to frequent ).

Hey everyone, sorry for radio silence - I was away from the internet for the weekend

Age-range wise, I'd say probably 3-7 would be the core group (my DS, who's five, loved them), but as with fairy tales, they can work for older kids too. And yes, it's beautifully illustrated, by up-and-coming artists.

ShowOfBloodyStumps, I applaud the excellent taste of your local bookseller Grin
