I have an Amazing Suggestion.
Confiscate Justine's pritt stick (and everyone elses for that matter) and stop the buggers sticking so many things on there Wink

I know that MNHQ usually try and restrict the number of stickies to 5, which I think makes sense.

But actually I don't think you should be able to hide stickies. After all, they are stickied because they are important. And the best example of this is the Christmas Appeal.

I lost count of the number of posters who said they hadn't seen any of the posts about the Christmas Appeal, despite it being stickied for ages. Presumably a fair proportion of these must have hidden the stickied posts.

MrsShrek3 · 22/05/2013 00:00

indeedy BIWI. maybe the Christmas appeal should have a superglue-teflon-coated special bauble sticky that can't be hidden by people with crappy little phone screens like me
I'm off before I out myself as absolutely bonkers Wine

I hide them when the sea of purple gets too much.

Most of them are totally irrelevant to non UK MNers like me so I rarely even read the titles, but then I miss stuff

Oooh, I don't think I even know what 'Stickies' are!?
I thought I was mis-reading sickies or perhaps something to do with the Stick Man book Confused
I'll go now...

There are 17 stickies on active convos... I don't want to miss anything, but really it is too much on my phone screen. It doesn't hurt me to scroll down, but it does make me ignore all the stickies! Fewer of them would be good.

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 09:15

Hello. This is most worrying.

We NEVER have more than five stickies in Active, so it's most odd that you're seeing more.

Can those of you who ARE seeing more let us know how you're viewing MN please? (ie computer/laptop or phone with app, desktop, mobile etc etc)

Thank you

I've had up to 8/9 at one time on a few occasions.

Blimey! OK, so it's mainly happening to folks using the android app then?

We'll try to work out what's going on.

18 now... Android app on phone and tablet. All have been active in last day or 2 so I not getting old ones.

Report
HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 11:37

Right. Annoyingly, we can't replicate this on our androids in the office.

We'll keep trying to work out what's going on, though.
