there are ten.... not so bad when you are looking on a pc or laptop screen, but on the mobile app it's hideous. imho, obv.

JulieMumsnet · 21/05/2013 23:00

Oh! We'll pass this on to tech so that he can work some magic.

We hope your dh is doing well, MrsShrek3.

Tech · 21/05/2013 23:10

Hi MrsS, where are you seeing these ten stickies? Is it on active conversations or on a topic?

Tech · 21/05/2013 23:27

I don't think there is a way to hide threads on the app. It sounds like the process on our side that sends data to the app is not requesting your sticky preference. We should be able to fix that - I'll take a look at it.

JulieMumsnet · 21/05/2013 23:43

Hahaha! Grin

@MrsShrek3

I have an Amazing Suggestion. Confiscate Justine's pritt stick (and everyone elses for that matter) and stop the buggers sticking so many things on there Wink [waits for banned user email] Grin

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 09:15

Hello. This is most worrying.

We NEVER have more than five stickies in Active, so it's most odd that you're seeing more.

Can those of you who ARE seeing more let us know how you're viewing MN please? (ie computer/laptop or phone with app, desktop, mobile etc etc)

Thank you

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 10:46

Blimey! OK, so it's mainly happening to folks using the android app then?

We'll try to work out what's going on.

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 11:37

Right. Annoyingly, we can't replicate this on our androids in the office.

We'll keep trying to work out what's going on, though.

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 11:41

If you're able to, could you please list the threads you can see stickied?

Hi, We think this is a fault in the android app itself. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling it? Does that help? Sorry, we know it's a pain.

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 14:36

Yay!

HelenMumsnet · 22/05/2013 17:52

@MrsShrek3

blimey you lot have been busy in my absence.... so I have to uninstall from my phone then? yawn/sigh/teenagestyle strop

Yes, MrsShrek3. And you'll be grateful we told you so

RowanMumsnet · 23/05/2013 22:06

Hello

Really sorry about this; it looks like a fault in the Android version of the app - it's 'storing' all stickies permanently. We will try to get this fixed, but in the meantime you might want to stick with the mobile site... Sorry Blush

RowanMumsnet · 23/05/2013 22:13

Well I'm glad we can all laugh about it

Tech · 27/05/2013 23:14

Hi, we think the stickies sit around on the android app forever. The only way to get rid of them is to delete it and reinstall it. Sorry about that. It's on the list of things to fix. The problem with fixes to the apps is that you have to go through the whole rigmarole of specifying the fixes, getting them developed, then submitting the app to the app stores for an update, all of which take time. It's not like the site where we can just fix things overnight. Sorry for the delay. It is on the list. I'd advise using the mobile site if the stickies problem is very annoying for you. Sorry we can't be more immediate help.
