Swearing. Why?

dummad · 23/04/2013 13:21

I'n not averse to the odd 'FFS' or whatever, but it seems to me that the use of the C word is now commonplace on every thread nowadays. And i don't like it one bit.

It never used to be like this. Why the cultural shift? I never hear it spoken out loud so why is it suddenly ok to plaster it all over MN?

Is it suddenly 'en vogue' to sound like a drunken navvy? Words like cunt, snatch, twat etc are just vile. Can't we reign it in a bit?

Eeeee!

I am going to polish my medal everyday, faithfully Grin

How much swearing in one thread must one have to achieve to be accepted on MN? Are there extra points for certain words? Is there a quota that I need to fulfill?

If I don't get there, how long do I have to fuck off over to those Netmums cunts before I can come back again?

How did I miss the whole bleedin point of MN for all these years?

When will they rename it: 'by cunts, for cunts'?

When da fuck do I use that flanjo faced bear icon; and the biscuit?

So many buggering questions. I feel like a fraud.

SPsYoniTheOneAndOnly · 23/04/2013 19:14

Only extra points if you make up a sweary phrase

BitBewildered · 23/04/2013 19:17

dummad stop fretting. No one wants to make you swear, you're the one who wants others to change to accomodate your preferences. And just for the record, cunty wankstains is my current exclaimation of choice Wink

SPsYoniTheOneAndOnly · 23/04/2013 19:19

Bit Too late she swore Sad

MooncupGoddess · 23/04/2013 19:20

Hmm, that looks more like a vagina dentata to me!

kneedeepindaisies · 23/04/2013 19:20

I might buy a tent just so I can put cunt bunting around it.

LittleMissBunnyoni · 23/04/2013 19:21

Thank fuck, well done OP for coming out of the cunting swearing closet.

You feel better now and liberated, you have answered your own question.

That is Why?

TheRealFellatio · 23/04/2013 19:32

I don't like the over-liberal and casual use of the C word on here at all, but I am opposed to censorship more.

usualsuspect · 23/04/2013 19:34

I rarely use the word cunt on here or in real life.I prefer twat tbh.

dummad · 23/04/2013 19:40

I would say I prefer twat. But it sounds lesbian so i must rephrase. I don't have a problem with twat. Are there actually people out there who would take cunt over twat? Surely cunt is stronger and the more awful.

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 23/04/2013 19:45

It sounds lesbian? Hmm

SPsYoniTheOneAndOnly · 23/04/2013 19:45

Twat sounds lesbian? Confused

Are you high OP?

elQuintoConyo · 23/04/2013 19:46

I'd take cunt over twat, but leave the minge for someone else.

Granny Fanny on the other hand...

Freddiemisagreatshag · 23/04/2013 19:47

Okaaaaaaaaaaay

BitBewildered · 23/04/2013 19:48

Surely cunt is stronger and the more awful. that's the point. Sometimes a strong swear word is what's wanted. In some parts twat is as offensive as cunt. I learnt that on here and was very surprised. Where I'm from twat is the same strength as fool or idiot, and is used in the same contexts.

kneedeepindaisies · 23/04/2013 19:48

I always think of twats as being male rather than lesbian.

kneedeepindaisies · 23/04/2013 19:49
