Spoofs, Jokes and Trolls

Right.

I want a serious debate about this.

I started a joke thread, in my own name as usual, about a neighbour stealing a spoon.

It was questioned as "trolling" and I got told off by Rebecca at MNHQ.

Are spoofs and/or jokes no longer allowed?

Since when?

And why?

What do people think about spoofs, jokes and trolls and the difference theereof?

Fucking hell, can't we have one nice thread?

Is that too much to ask?

MadameDefarge · 28/03/2013 21:53

Pan. Hully has made her feelings very clear in an open and honest fashion. She did not resort to PMs.

Why is it so hard to respect her view?

I agree Usual.
May I just say how lovely it is to see you back Grin
I'm so glad you didn't flounce or you'd have to have had a 4, which i suppose is slightly better than bollocks.

well, it isn't 'resorting' to PMs *BIWI tbh. I 'd hoped we could sort things out away from a thread. But that isn't possible it seems. Which I'm uncomfortably okay with.

usualsuspect · 28/03/2013 21:58

Thanks LBE , I didn't flounce, I just took a break Grin

I only came back for wankered Wednesday.

Fiderer · 28/03/2013 21:59

We're still on Thursday, right? FidGirl is so delighted at flying and airports and being out in The World that she's going to make me a martini, because:

"It's international, Mum. English gin, French vermouth, Spanish olives."

Grin
Pan · 28/03/2013 22:00

Hully - that's good for me.

Things I have learnt on this thread:

wine is good - gin is better - fancy cocktails are best

Hama beads are evil

Goady fuckers are not necessarily newbies

However, cream teas are still the answer to everything. Always have been, always will be.

IamtheZombie · 28/03/2013 22:01

May Zombie borrow FidGirl please? Zombie will take good care of her in exchange for a pitcher of martinis. Or any other strong alcoholic beverage...

TuftyFinch · 28/03/2013 22:01

Can l have a martini? it can wash down my pissy chips.

HotCrossWeaselInSinisterBonnet · 28/03/2013 22:02

Maryz

MNHQ have TIO. It could be that simple.

MadameDefarge · 28/03/2013 22:04

I think I might need a caparhiniaaaa and sod the consequences.

usualsuspect · 28/03/2013 22:05

I think I might have a hot cross bun, with it being nearly good Friday.

HotCrossWeaselInSinisterBonnet · 28/03/2013 22:06

Dear god no. Cream teas solve nothing. The bitterest most terrible threads on Mnet involve the humble cream tea and the correct sequencing for jam and cream and the acceptability of butter.

MadameDefarge · 28/03/2013 22:06

TIO? an ancronym I don't know? eek!

Fiderer · 28/03/2013 22:06

Zombie FidGirl was leaning against me (reading over my shoulder) earlier and said, "I'm not reading what you write, Mum. Jeez." Pause. "Tell Zombie FidGirl says 'Hi' "
