Viewport bar??

Hi I think I have broked my MN as this no longer follows me down the page, I have looked in the customise bit and cannot see the option.

Help, it is driving me crazy.

Hello. Sorry for the delay in replying.

The Viewport bar has been taken down. We got shedloads of mail about how much it annoyed folk.

The viewport bar was annoying to a lot of us, Helen. But, given that it seems it was also very popular with others, how about a compromise: Re-instate it but have the default setting for it to be OFF. Then those that do want it can turn it ON and the rest of use won't have to hide it (again).

That seems a bit illogical tbh BUT what would be useful would be to find out what specifically folks were using it for. Then maybe we can look at ways to produce that on the site in a less annoying way...

When was this vote passed then MNHQ, I of course assume there was one and I must have missed it because this is unfairness of the HIGHEST order. (Can you tell I'm moody and hormonal - AGAIN)

Obviously, we didn't do it to upset you specifically and personally - though I'm sure it feels that way.

Please tell us what you found useful about it and we'll try to find a way to offer you that in some other way.

I liked that bar. Meant I didn't have to scroll back and forth.

Agree that a good option would be to have it defaulted to off and those f us who use it can turn it on!
