I just think that it is such an important piece of history that we should show some support (besides wearing one) and have a little poppy throughout November.

If it is just for everyone to post on a remembrance day thread then surely a thread can be done without the need for poppy icons? As I assume they would not be getting used elsewhere on the board, as what would be the need/use?

I think MNHQ are doing the right thing by just adding a poppy to the main site logo.

I still don't understand. Why does wearing a red poppy imply you support war (which it must do according to the white poppy logic - if white ones mean "no more war"). Of course it doesn't. It simply means the wearer is remembering and showing respect for those who have died in war. In no way does it suggest the wearer thinks that war is OK. I really resent the attempt to make poppies political, which they clearly are not.

How about have a peace lily? It would have multiple uses, including "Kiss and make up".

The Poppies in France were RED and they are the symbol of those who died. ALL those who died.
