I still don't understand. Why does wearing a red poppy imply you support war (which it must do according to the white poppy logic - if white ones mean "no more war"). Of course it doesn't. It simply means the wearer is remembering and showing respect for those who have died in war. In no way does it suggest the wearer thinks that war is OK. I really resent the attempt to make poppies political, which they clearly are not.

I don't really understand what the point of a poppy emoticon would be? When would it be used?

If it is just for everyone to post on a remembrance day thread then surely a thread can be done without the need for poppy icons? As I assume they would not be getting used elsewhere on the board, as what would be the need/use?

I think MNHQ are doing the right thing by just adding a poppy to the main site logo.

Sirzy, not only is our 'main' Tech a man (shock horror), but he also lives in New York - I suspect might have more worrying things on his mind at the moment?

But, as TheDoctrine says, the Tech-To-Do-List is probably rather long. He/they might get around to a Poppy for next year, but I doubt they have time to do it for this year.
