Please could you sort it so that both [ thanks ] and [ flowers ] make

I am not the only person who would like to put in a bunch of flowers for a birthday, or get well or to cheer someone up, and I type in to try to get the flowers. I see it all over the place.

Can't be tooooooo tricky, can it? It isn't adding to the list of emoticons, it isn't sparkly, it isn't a ticker..

I agree. When someone is going through a really tough time and I want to give them flowers it feels wrong to type in [ thanks].

Hooray for elephants . That is one of the reasons. I do think we need to be able to type in either word, so that people can use both, and those who are used to typing [ thanks] can still do it.
