Posts appearing twice using blackberry

knickyknocks · 24/06/2012 07:21

I'm a semi-regular poster on conception 40 plus thread - and when I log in from my phone (blackberry) to add to the thread, it posts twice. Not a huge problem, but would like to know if it can be fixed. Be interesting to see if this post now appears twice as using phone to add this.

quenelle hopefully it'll get fixed now. In the meantime, you could try using the full site? Be warned it's slooooow on these marvellous machines.

It is slow, but I actually prefer it. Perhaps it is because I am slow.

Quenelle · 15/07/2012 18:50

Sorry, wasn't ignoring you all in a huff or anything! I'll try the full site, but I think I'd rather have double posts than sloooow.

Quenelle · 15/07/2012 18:51

Oh! Only posted once!

I find it a lot quicker closing it down then reopening on 'threads I'm on' than going back and up and down etc. you can look at active convos etc from there.

ValiumQueen · 15/07/2012 18:53

Ha ha! Soo funny! Feel for you x why did it post once the first time though?

Tech · 24/07/2012 15:17

Test from blackberry

Tech · 24/07/2012 15:30

Gffffff

Tech · 24/07/2012 15:33

Seems to be OK for me. I wonder if I've got the wrong kind of blackberry. Can I double-check one thing. Are you clicking the post button once, or double-clicking it? If you are double-clicking it that would account for the double posting. It's a long shot but worth asking.....

LateDeveloper · 24/07/2012 23:38

Tech! How very dare you. Are we double clicking? That's the equivalent of the IT helpdesk asking whether the pc is plugged in at the wall (and I should know as I used to work on a helpdesk).

Would be a bit of a coincidence that it is always the blackberry users doncha think?

I am posting from a curve btw

Oh and thanks for looking into this - can I check that you are posting from the mobile site?

Hi LD, sorry, I did think it was a long shot. I was on the mobile site yes, but on a new-but-basic BB so maybe the version of the browser in it is different. We'll have another look....

GetOrfMoiiLand · 25/07/2012 18:43

Hi tech - mine still double posts from the bberry. I have a curve by the way (and I don't double post, I have no idea how you actually would achieve that on a bberry!)

I posted on the diagnostics page a few weeks ago presumably that would say which bberry and browser I was on.

knickyknocks · 03/08/2012 12:08

Thanks Tech for still investigating (am on laptop at the mo).

Mine too is a blackberry curve and no, I'm not double clicking. Just happens on the mobile site, have resorted to changing to the full site if I want to post (or just using the laptop.....)

Bugger thought it had fixed itself. Have posted on two threads on the mobile site tonight from my blackberry and it only posted once. Thought I'd test it on this thread and it still posts twice. Arse.

Nope, not fixed, just posting once intermittently
