how can people discussing why they left another popular site was more so tbh and came here as it was batter not be in the spirit on mumsnet

In short, the Bounty thread was reported to us as bringing personal, individual dirty linen over from another site -which is not really what we're about.

The Netmums one, while not particularly helpful is more general.

Please note that this is not a competitive forum thing.

Really this is a thread about a thread and on that grounds ought to be deleted too.But we will leave for now though it's not really AIBU so we'll move to site stuff.

I think it's very much in the spirit of AIBU. Was it reasonable to delete one and not the other? Meh who gives. I'm pretty impressed admin have come on and explained why they deleted a thread, and then explained it some more though - you never got that on Bounty.

I also enjoyed it when MN kept going offline a week or so ago and there were suggestions that it was because admin were all in the pub, abd then admin changed the error message to say 'we're not in the pub'. But not as much as I would've enjoyed being able to access the site.

...In short, well done, and must try harder, and YA (probably) NBU!
