Does anyone else notice how many people are posting in txt spk? I can't read it, and I can't take it seriously.

When registering - can there be an acknowledgement that posters are likely to be better received if they write properly?

I'm rubbish at typing on my phone , well tbh I'm rubbish at typing full stop.

I'm on a train and if I ho back to active I lose the 3G so I'll just prattle on if no one minds I went to the shop on the platform but it just had stale sandwiches I do not like stale sandwiches so I didn't buy one now I am hungry but I can't decide if it's better to be hungry or eat a stale sandwich

They don't teach typing in schools anymore usual I think they should and all the students have to wear A lone skirts and twin sets

Actually OP, I'm with you. I used to be on netmums and one of the reasons I left (aside from the insane moderation policies) was that the atrocious spelling made my eyes bleed. Mumsnet used to hold the ability to construct coherent sentences in high regard. It doesn't seem to any more.

This change appears to have coincided with the rise in numbers of people posting on here from their iPhones. One can only assume that the iPhone is so shoddy that it's impossible to compose legible text on it. Or maybe people just don't care that they appear to have the grammatical skills of a 13 year-old chav. It bugs me, it really does.

(All that being said, I still think a well-placed 'meh' can work a lot better than a )

i learned to type, on a proper typewriter with carriage return, erasing pencils and carbon paper to make copies

and i got a grade 1 CSE and numerous RSA exams...i learned to rebel at a late age

The old Flake was fine, there were no holes in the wrapper so I made a bit of a mess eating it but that's really nothing new I don't mind not using full stops and commas but I couldn't let the apostrophes or capital for Flake go but that's my issue and nothing for anyone else to bother about I hope no one minds this long post I'm seeing how much and how quickly I can write before my signal comes back unfortunately I think it's still 2 stops away but I'll carry on regardless because I've done my marking I forgot my book and I don't have a newspaper nor can I see a stay one ah here we go I think my signal's here oh not quick enough gone again anyway doing all this typing on my phone makes me look very important I expect
