I have dithered about posting this...

Does anyone else notice how many people are posting in txt spk? I can't read it, and I can't take it seriously.

When registering - can there be an acknowledgement that posters are likely to be better received if they write properly?

It seems to be getting more prolific. Not sure why.

Hmm

I've had my internet nickname longer than MN has existed and I am not removing my numbers for any man, beast or arrogant poster.

IllegitimateGruffal0Child · 08/05/2012 21:09

Ok - I retract the last sentence....

Text speak though?

Oh phew you have withdrawn number name dissing

IllegitimateGruffal0Child · 08/05/2012 21:15

meh - I'm not stabby enough to care about that really. It's the text speak, piss poor punctuation and 'lols' that make a post hard to read and respond to.

oh FFS, get a grip hun Wink

Text speak annoys me too, however i do find myself resorting to if if im posting from my phone, so suck it up buster

lucyellensmumnamechange · 08/05/2012 21:19

oh and "meh" makes ME stabby, what you gonna do!

amillionyears · 08/05/2012 21:20

not seen it myself, can be oblivious to really obvious stuff, but it would be becoming more prolific because more younger people are coming on here.I sometimes am surprised by how young some of the posters are.

Olympia2012 · 08/05/2012 21:20

Meh???

Why say 'meh'? It's awful

How can Txt spk be easier on a smart phone? Mine just changes everything in to something it thinks is more appropriate. It can't be easier - that was for pre-predictive texting surely?

I don't like conjunctions. Can people stop using them.

UnChartered · 08/05/2012 21:28

pardon?

i'm off to start a thread about how i wish people would type correctly blatantly ignoring the fact i've a myriad of grammatical errors in my own post

cos that's the way i roll Grin

TuftyFinch · 08/05/2012 21:30

James Joyce wrote a very, very long book with no punctuation.

Tee2072 · 08/05/2012 21:31

Didn't even notice the 0 in the OP's name. HAHAHAHA

Also, OP, not everyone has predictive text or auto correct or smart phones.
