Talk to us about discounts - who else would you like to have a discount from via MN?

We know from discussions most of you love a discount and with this is mind, we're currently working on expanding the list of companies and brands Mumsnetters get exclusive discounts with.

So now we'd like to know - in an ideal world - and in a real world Wink - which would be the top companies, brands, services that you'd like to get a discount from. Please also state what kind of discount is realistically appealing. No promises or anything....

All views welcome on this thread - no prize draw sadly but our grateful thanks!

M&S
Sainsburys
Tescos
Amazon
with 10-20% Grin

Bravissimo
ELC
Mothercare
John Lewis
Amazon
Cath Kidston (in my dreams)
Ocado

And a good selection of online retailers who stock maternity wear - not IO they are just too expensive even with a discount.

amazon, supermarket and fuel are probably the only discounts i'd use.
not clothes etc we tend to get second hand / charity shops / gifts only. aren't buying anything for the house unless essential to save money.

WhatWouldLeoDo · 20/10/2011 22:26

Another vote for John Lewis, that would be fab.

ELC might as well give MNers 20% off, there are always threads sharing the latest birthday club codes anyway. Free delivery would be good too.

There are always links to various lovely smaller online toy retailers on here, but the delivery charges always put me off (when you can get the same item with free delivery from Amazon).

Actually, any discounts that also offer free delivery would be a winner!

WhatWouldLeoDo · 20/10/2011 22:28

Oh, and Mint Velvet. 20% off plus free delivery would be handy.

BleedyGhoulzombiez · 21/10/2011 06:55

I second the CentreParks suggestion. And the whingy bit as well - it is so overpriced, even for middle-income families.

sydneysuze · 21/10/2011 07:03

Yup, John Lewis and Amazon get my vote too.
Also Victoria Health

BedatHogwarts · 21/10/2011 09:00

Breakfree Holidays (the ones that do the Sun and Daily Fail cheapo voucher caravan breaks)

Downloadable vouchers that we can use for specific products in any shop - nappies, biscuits, Wine etc.

Are there any up-and-coming companies trying to compete with Amazon, ebay etc? They might be more open to offering discounts to increase their profile and customer base.

going · 21/10/2011 09:54

John Lewis and Amazon.
