If someone is banned, they are TOLD that they are banned, right?

Not about anyone in particular.

Just a request for info.

If I were to be banned, would I receive an email saying "you have been banned because..." (with actual specific info) and perhaps an indication of whether teh ban was permanent or temporary?

Or would I simply not be able to log in one day?

Not that I expect to be banned any time soon, of course :)

Anyone who doesn't have the west wing available for regular viewing is missing one of the finer things in life [true]

I cry everytime I see Toby find Josh and then stutter 'i need...help, we need help here'

Olivia keeps accepting the premise of the question. I've noticed this before.

Never accept the premise of the question.

If in doubt, ask yourself - what would Toby say?

Pagwatch · 16/09/2011 08:41

Justine's a good woman. She has a good heart. She doesn't hold a grudge. That's what she pays Oliva for...

Northernlurker · 16/09/2011 08:43

Oooh I love the West Wing. Dh and I start at the beginning and work our way through then go back to the beginning and start again.

ShowMeTheMonet · 16/09/2011 09:05

I'm only on series 3 episode 8 - squealllllllll so much more to come!

And no-one has mentioned Sam Seabourne "Why that's wrong on so many levels"

Hassled · 16/09/2011 09:08

We have a bit of a fan thread going here but there are spoliers - be warned.

@OliviaMumsnet

[quote CJCregg] Olivia.

I think you'll find Flamingo is my secret service name.

Yes but Justine doesn't suit "eagle" Grin

@TrillianAstra

"It's our website and we'll do whatever the hell we like"

Are you saying I "suit" Flamingo?

(Box set recommendations from the Oval Office, once you've done with West Wing, are The Killing obviously and newfound fave Friday Night Lights)

CalatalieSisters · 16/09/2011 09:32

I am a late convert to The Killing. Bugger the Oval Office, I want Theis and Pernille's lovely kitchen with its lovely windows.

ShowMeTheMonet · 16/09/2011 09:33

@ Olivia having to now wildly backtrack on the Flamingo thang :o

allhailtheaubergine · 16/09/2011 09:34

What is a west wing?

CJCregg · 16/09/2011 10:32

At least she didn't call you Big Bird, Justine Grin

CJCregg · 16/09/2011 10:36

But, more importantly, which turkey are you going to pardon this year?

Ahh but then we wouldn't have the fun of the speculation race, trying to read quicker than Olivia Grin

@JustineMumsnet

Are you saying I "suit" Flamingo?

It's the long legs, boss. Grin

Pinot · 16/09/2011 13:28

:o Stig!

NetworkGuy · 16/09/2011 22:36

I'm with BTP, and completely flummoxed by more than half the references to West Wing... so long ago, so little time...
