OK - we've had the daffodil (for days) - we had the shamrock (for one day only, why was that exactly?Hmm) - please can we have a dragon for St. George's Day, even if it is also Easter Saturday so will be surrounded by bunny-eared emoticons - PURRRRLLLLEEEEEASE??

I'm starting early because it might take a while to get a nice dragon done...

no Welsh dragons. Nothing against the Welsh at all - but they've had their day and their emoticon.

Damian - are you sure you can't manage one? reeeeeaaaaallllly?

thumbbunny · 20/04/2011 15:05

Yay Pasch! that's the beast we want :)

Ormirian · 20/04/2011 15:08

Yay for a dragon!

I like dragons. So does DS2.

LittleWhiteWolf · 20/04/2011 15:10

If we don't get a dragon I'm flouncing Wink

I can't think of anything else that will suffice. A flag with the cross on it is too football, and a rose is just a cop out. Dragon it must be.

...bet they get sparkly dragons at netmums...

Show me the DRAGON!

How about an animated ticker type one, with the depiction of George slaying the dragon along the bottom of every post (if psoter wishes)?

I suppose a tudor rose might work.

thumbbunny · 20/04/2011 16:09

That's a very nice green dragon, Twit. It even looks a bit like the English dragon that Pasch linked too, only a better colour.

But as far as a rose goes - oh no no no no no! NO FLOWERS.

thumbbunny · 23/04/2011 10:27

In 2011 the Anglican and Catholic calendars celebrate St George's Day on the first Monday after Easter Week (2 May)

So is the dragon staying until then?

thumbbunny · 23/04/2011 14:52

Have asked that question somewhere, Rusty - haven't had an answer yet though. Hope so!

Just got back from Twickenham, watching the St George's Day rugby - at the end St George chased a red Dragon down the pitch - the dragon got away though and scored a try, but in the end they were both defeated by the stewards....

thumbbunny · 23/04/2011 22:56

Happy Birthday Guacamole! Dragon

RustyBear · 24/04/2011 22:04

The dragon's gone!

Damien - did you not read my post about St George's Day not being until next week?
