Hi, what's happened to the 'topics' button? It used to be before 'customise' but seems to have disappeared.

Or is it just me Hmm Grin

good good Justine - now if you could change the word "Talk" into Topics at that point Wink

Jux · 01/03/2011 13:58

Ah, while you're at it, could you make the search function sortable too?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 02/03/2011 22:22

Right, I have been proving my worth Justine.

Do we really need 3, count 'em (again) ways to "Add a message" to a thread? Confused Oooh 4!! I've just found one at the top of the page. Over-the-top. Grin

I thought I was having a senior moment when I was looking for Topics a few minutes back.

I do wish MN would stop changing stuff. I'm still trying to work out what the Twitter box actually does.

I like 'low tech'.Confused

Urgh, I just discovered this too. Bloody irritating. How are we supposed to know that 'Mumsnet Talk' is even a link, let alone that it is a link to the topic list? I only use search when I'm stalking someone, not for when Active + last 15mins hasn't yielded anything interesting to read.

I was having to go down to the list of shortcuts which doesn't have most of my favourite sections anyway.

This isn't a very user friendly change.

gaelicsheep · 04/03/2011 21:56

I totally agree. Not user friendly at all. I'll admit I am an old curmudgeon and still in Classic view, so it may be different in the new fangled version. But speaking as one who knows, you do have to assume that website users can work absolutely nothing out for themselves. It needs to be very obvious - that link isn't. Smile

Maybe if it when black when you hovered - like in the nav bar?

gaelicsheep · 07/03/2011 18:46

Yes that would work better. I think you expect something to happen when you hover over a link, because in pretty much all other cases on here it does. I don't think you can assume that people know that the pointer turns to a hand when they hover over a hyperlink. In fact you can't assume anything at all!
