So where's the cup of tea emoticon then?

I see we have a new wine glass emoticon! Jolly good! But some of us would prefer a good old cup of tea.

Do you think you could cater for the likes of us too?

Lots of love,

Norman x

I think they are just feeble, TBH, Norman. They have a wealth of swords, shields, nets, tridents and even a spear launcher (not the official term, I am sure, but I can't be bothered to fish the centurion out of the dragon's mouth to ask him). I think it may be down to lack of leadership - the centurion is quite fond of sitting in his fancy tent (when not being eaten). It all started with the tiger and the lion - if they had stood up to them then the dragons wouldn't have joined in...

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 19:19

Thank yo maryz - most helpful.

Stealth, I feel firm leadership is what is needed with your Romans. Perhaps Bossy Ross could come along and sort them out. He is quite bossy firm.....

Not to worry, LadyP, it's nice to see you now.

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:08

Ta Norman so any other recruits? Except playmobil ones that is.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:12

Yes please to teacups. And how about a [sandwich]? That way we'd have almost a complete meal.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:13

Not too many I'm afraid. We have had one or two pop over from the one-child families tea room farmhouse kitchen thread (and I must say they have been very welcoming to me too), but not very many other new recruits.

However some of the old stalwarts have been very helpful (e.g. yourself, NewStig, stealthsquiggle, belgo etc).

Still we must keep going....

Cups for MN! Cups for MN!

Thank you, Norman. We met in the one child tea room, actually.

::obsessive name changer::

The one child tea room operates in all time zones and never closes, so please drop in at any time. With any luck we'll soon be able to offer you [tea] as well as Wine.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:22

Thank you, I thought I'd seen you somewhere before! I will drop in every now and then, although I can't promise to keep up with everything that's going on there, it seems quite busy. But you are a friendly bunch.

If we ever get the teacup emoticon I shall come over and dish out a few

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:26

Yes, it's very busy but that means it's OK to just jump in and out when it suits you. Nobody can keep up with every detail of what's going on!

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:27

Hi Maud and welcome!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:28

Thank you for the welcome. Do you have cake?

::hopeful::

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:29

I think I have some jaffas somewhere

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:35

Sorry have found some angel cake

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:38

Lovely.

::takes a demure slice::

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:39

I might be able to ask Bossy Ross for some buns from his cafe....

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:40

I've got some of the tea room Bolly (we never run out) if you'd like to share. Or a selection of our finest teas.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:41

Great! Bossy Ross has sent some over. Please help yourself to any of the items from this display cabinet

The marmalade cake sold very swiftly, Norman - outpaced only by the chocolate sandwich and victoria sandwich, which I am convinced were snaffled bought by the staff before they ever got near the cake stall Grin

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:43

Well, I'd love a cup of finest builders' tea, now you mention it....

OP posts:
NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:44

Yay for the marmalade cake!

::proffers mug of strong tea with the teaspoon standing up on it::

We only dabbled with Playmobil in this house.

::ashamed::

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:46

There's no shame in only dabbling with Playmobil. Sooner or later you may get addicted to like it a bit more...
