buttons for 'inbox' and 'sent' msgs

I spotted a glitch the other day and posted, concerning the inbox, then saw 'sent' message handling was worse (up / down to next / previous messages always went back to list of messages), and bumped that (though no sign of acknowledgement it was seen)...

Now the 'up' arrow is showing a "." (I was going to link to an image but it should be easy to spot) for both inbox and sent messages (once a message is being viewed, IYSWIM).

One day (2011) it may work. Just don't change the code while "under the influence" please, Tech bods, else your "clear thinking" and even any comments in the code will perhaps be "unclear" in the sober chill of a January morning.

I'm not able to see the "." you're talking about in Firefox or Chrome. Could you give a screenshot?

I know that this is on the Tech to do list and has been for 2 years someone infinitely more techy than me will let you know how close we are to sorting it aht.

Hello. Yes, thanks for the nudge. As you know, this is a glitch we're aware of and it is on Tech's to do list.

Hope you'll understand that said to do list has to be prioritised so that the stuff that's broken gets fixed before the stuff that's just a bit annoying/not as slick as it should be.

We will flag this one up again, though.

Was just about to post that we'd flag this issue to Tech (whose To-Do list was clearly MILES longer than we feared) when I saw AmyMumsnet had beat me to it.Typical. You wait a year for a response, then get two on the same day ...

We've been looking at this and the only confusing thing we can see is that if you are viewing a message (ie on an individual message page), and it happens to be the last one in your Sent folder, and you click '>' then it takes you to the list of Sent messages, whereas it should just do nothing if you're on the last message. Similarly clicking '
