Threads I'm On in weird order

BertieBottlesOfMulledWine · 06/12/2010 00:51

...is this temporary or is it a new feature?? I can't see any logic to it - it's not ordered by last time I've posted OR last time anyone posted, it's just seemingly random...

Hi Nikita - no, I'm still having the same problems as mentioned in my last post.

I am running MN Classic, in pages usually - clicking on a post in Threads I'm On is taking me to the top of the page but not the post I clicked on; and although the thread titles are now displaying the full width of the page, the posts are only going halfway across.

As far as I can see, I still only have a max of 5 posts displaying on any thread in Threads I'm On as well. might need to close MN and restart it though... will give that a go and get back to you.

TheYuleLogLady · 06/12/2010 13:27

oh no it isn't.

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 13:29

OK, tried closing it and restarting - no difference, all points in my last post stand.

FellatioNelson · 06/12/2010 13:43

I'm cured! I didn't even have to do anything complicated - it just went back to lovely normal.

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 13:55

Lucky you! [grumps]

Am still having the same problems as mentioned before, Nikita - any chance of them being fixed please? [hopeful]

NikitaTech · 06/12/2010 14:19
  1. Click on post in classic seems fine to me.
  2. no of post in thread is 5 - this is something i can fix .
thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 14:25

Still not working for me, Nikita - perhaps because I use pages? It's taking me to the top of the correct page, but not to the post.

I have my pages set at 25 posts to the page.

DanceInTheDark · 06/12/2010 14:42

Its not working for me either and i don't have pages.

I usually scroll down actives to find a trha to jump in on (and sign in that way) then go to threads i am on. It's still squiffy :(

LIZS · 06/12/2010 14:45

No still looks odd. The posts wrap so the list seems very long and it is either alphabetical or date of last post. When you press Back arrow the previous page has expired too.

Ponders · 06/12/2010 14:48

I'm on classic, all posts on one page, reading from top - click on post still takes me to top of thread, not bottom.

(Firefox)

Ponders · 06/12/2010 14:49

& posts wrapping like Liz's

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 14:57

Oo, I haven't got wrapping posts and I can use back arrow again to get me to Threads I'm On - couldn't earlier but that has resolved now for me.

But:
Still only going to the top of the page, not the post;
still only got the last 5 posts showing on any Thread I'm On - so if more than 5 have occurred since I posted, my name drops off the bottom;
Still got the first line of the posts on each Thread I'm On only going halfway across the page (so even more abbreviated than normal)

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 15:03

And I have just discovered that using F5 means it tells me the webpage has expired and it has to resend the information - whereas clicking again on Threads I'm On to refresh the page is no problem.

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 15:05

Right - have to go to bed now - hope it is fixed by morning my time Xmas Smile

Tee2072 · 06/12/2010 15:37

I might help narrow it down if you say what browser and version you are using.

I am on Firefox 3.6.12 and it's absolutely fine. I also am on New Mumsnet with no pages.

NikitaTech · 06/12/2010 15:49

Classic should be fine with more than 5 posts on thread ,Can you please try once again!!

Ponders · 06/12/2010 15:59

aha, it went straight to your post this time, Nikita Smile & they are listed in the right order now.

but they are still taking up 2 lines each - like this:

NikitaTech 6 Dec 10, 3:49:38 PM

Classic should be fine with more than 5 posts on thread ,Can

(that would have been all on one line before)

Ponders · 06/12/2010 15:59

ie like this:

NikitaTech 6 Dec 10, 3:49:38 PM Classic should be fine with more than 5 posts on thread ,Can

NikitaTech · 06/12/2010 16:20

All done !! please check.

BertieBottlesOfMulledWine · 06/12/2010 16:30

Working fine for me now :) Thanks, I like it!

PositiveAttitude · 06/12/2010 16:54

Working for me, too. Although I still have the double gaps between lines. I could get used to that without moaning though, if I have to!! Xmas Wink

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 06/12/2010 17:01

I have the double gaps, too, i don't like that.

also, it doesn't save my "latest post" "my latest post" choice when I go back into it.

do we have to do that ctrl+f5 again?

Ponders · 06/12/2010 19:08

yay, fixed, thank you, Nikita!!! Smile

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 06/12/2010 20:46

Hurrah! All fixed now, thank you Nikita! Much better. Xmas Grin

thumbplumpuddingwitch · 07/12/2010 13:51

All fixed - but the option to change the order to Latest Post [by anyone] doesn't seem to work for me? I am not really bothered, tbh - just thought I'd flag it.
