It would be used on awkward or angry threads in an attempt to diffuse the situation.

I'll walk over to the Ayes. Pom bears for all. But please let there be a thread explaining how they should be used.Or I'll end up pomming someone when I shouldn't.

Aww, a Pom Bear with a santa hat, how cute would that be?.

And of course necessary to MN for diverting tendencies.

StrangewaysHereICome · 12/11/2010 19:59

Oh yes please ....

and what about a [cuckoo clock] emoticon as a response to those comments we wish to ignore? oh yes please!

NotShortImFunSized · 12/11/2010 19:59

Yes, yes popcorn is for settling in to watch a good bun fight but what a tasty refreshing change it would be to offer something different Grin

See, a multi functional pom bear.

Now we definitely need one.

PyramidofScotcheggs · 12/11/2010 20:30

Bog off to you tooGrin

We need a Pom bear emote.

I wish I had some actually, they make a really good sarnie with inch thick butter on tiger bread.
I've no tiger bread either.

PocketMouse · 12/11/2010 20:41

Shammalamma has clearly had a sense of humour bypass.

I'm desperate for this [pombear] now

UltimateNachos · 12/11/2010 20:43

RapunzelLetDownYourPomBear · 12/11/2010 20:54

Damn! wanted Rapunzel Rapunzel but too many letters to have it twice.

UltimatePomBear · 12/11/2010 20:55

Nay, I am the ULTIMATE POM BEAR!!! :-D

Pom Bear fights - the next MN trend?!

JarethThePomBearKing · 12/11/2010 20:55

[applauds Rapunzel]

PyramidofScotcheggs · 12/11/2010 20:57

But are you plain or cheese and onion flavoured Pom Bears?

I favour cheese and onion and would say they rule the plains.

What about a fight between the flavours?
Who would win?

RapunzelLetDownYourPomBear · 12/11/2010 21:03

But we do need to establish correct use of [pombear emoticon]. As I see it there are three options:

  1. 'Pom Bear anyone?' To diffuse ugly bunfights or fill awkward silences, in the manner of 'more tea vicar?'
  1. To infer bonkers-ness in reference to particular postings, in the style of Biscuit but specifically to imply 'you are clearly bonkers'
  1. To support / give visual reference to
Hmm
UltimatePomBear · 12/11/2010 21:03

Not sure who the winning flavour would be, but surely the winner would be the last one standing when the cuckoo clock chimes?!
Grin
