Anyone ordered from LITTLE LOLLYPOPS? Or know the shop in Bromley?

I ordered a birthday present for DD1 (bday is this week) back on Jan 1. On the tracking page it says 'confirmed order, awaiting despatch.' Have emailed twice. Just rang, and their answerphone isn't taking messages ...

Anyone else had this trouble?

If you're in Bromley - has the shop shut down?

Yes! I'm having the same trouble: ordered 3 dresses for my baby, and still awaiting despatch after 2 weeks

Has the payment left your account yet? I went my husband's credit card - eeek!

I will keep trying to phone...

I ordered something on 17th December and still havent had the order, I call every day and email. I once got the owner and she said she had had a berevement. I waited another 3 weeks and keep calling and emailing, I realise now that they are not going to take my calls, so i contacted trading standards. I spent £80 and i really can't order something else until i get a refund, but i am not holding out any hope of that! I was told that if their website is live then they are still trading. Write a letter recorded delivery asking for a refund (after 30 days of your order) they then have 30 days to refund you, if not I think you can get a ref number from trading standards but not sure what happens next.? Its really got me so stressed as it was for a new born baby present! Hope we all get it sorted??!!!

franch · 29/01/2010 10:35

Thanks amarula that's useful advice. I'll wait a few more days then write. I don't hold out any hope either

Anyone in Bromley walked past the shop lately??

If you paid by credit card you can claim the money back through your cc company

franch · 29/01/2010 21:08

Thanks Mimie - do you know how you go about doing that?

Am surprised no Bromleyers have popped by to let us know what's happened with the shop.

It's weird, the website is still up and running.

I am in the same position. Have placed 2 orders first on 28th jan then second on 1st feb. got order confirmations and awaiting dispatch. Spoken to the lady twice to ask where the order was. She said she had just lost her husband but they would be dispatched immediately. Still have not received them. They were both on my husbands credit card. Another online shop I order from MILKSHAKE ( fantastic and so very very helpful. Denise the owner even telephone Emilie et Rose to ask about Little Lollypops) Emilie et Rose have siad the business is still trading and is legitimate and they are also aware of the circumstances. The lady seems so genuine and I felt terrible about her situation as she also has a new baby!!1 I now do not know what to do about the orders because it amounts to more than £100.00

franch · 18/02/2010 17:30

Oh god, that's not good What do we do??

OP posts:
NicWhit · 21/02/2010 12:16

I am going to keep ringing because I may get lucky again and she may pick the phone up. Will also send another email. My last courseof actionis to go to trading standards and then also to find out how we get our money back on credit cards and refunds etc. I think I will send an email to say that the situation is being discussed on Mumsnet ( which cannot be good for Little lollypops)I feel terrible because she is obviously having a very difficult time but it is completely unacceptable. She needs to decide if she is going to continue in business. If not she needs to close the website and shop and refund everyone

franch · 22/02/2010 22:04

Yes she can't keep on accepting people's money if she has no intention of sending stuff out.

Anyone know if the shop itself is still open?

can you link to the site? i live in bromley and have never heard of this shop

nancy75 · 22/02/2010 22:09

ok just found the site, i have never seen this shop which is quite odd as i have lived here for years and spend a fortune on kids clothes! going into bromley high street either tomorrow or wednesday so will see if i can find it.

pooka · 22/02/2010 22:12

Am in Bromley. I've googled to see where it is, and checked on maps.google. Had no idea there was a baby/kids clothes shop there - I don't recall seeing it when was last in that part of the High Street (which would have been just before Christmas when I took the children to the dentist which is at 220 High Street).

Anyway - gist is that cannot say for certain that is there and open. Only info I have is that that section of the High Street is less stable in terms of shops staying open than the main drag. Won't be going into Bromley until later in the week, but will have a look-see when I do.

nancy75 · 22/02/2010 22:14

pooka, where is it meant to be - up near the cinema or the other end?

pooka · 22/02/2010 22:14

Ditto Nancy!

I also am a bit of a keen shopper and had not got a clue where it was and whether the shop existed!

[privately curses lost shopping opportunity]

pooka · 22/02/2010 22:16

Up near the cinema - not far from the discount shoe shop/Bromley Dental Studio/ballet shop bit from what I can see. There's a really cool jewellery shop nearby and I always worry that it'll close because off the main drag.

nancy75 · 22/02/2010 22:19

thats where i thought, i was only at the cinema a couple of days ago so i must either walk round with my eyes closed or its not there! i know the jewlers you mean, i think they have another branch in beckenham high street (they used to) they have lovely things in there.

franch · 22/02/2010 22:25

Thanks pooka and nancy - if you're passing pop in and suggest they check MN

I have just spoken to Emilie et Rose ( simply because a lot of what I ordered was this brand) as I telephoned their trade enquiries number. Anyway they have been monitoring the situation and said that things have been on hold for approx 6/8 weeks but things have started moving again in the last 7 days. The woman at Emilie et Rose suggests that Little Lollypops has a huge backlog so it may take a little time but we will receive our orders or some kind of contact in the coming week to ten days. Emilie et Rose said that if nothing happens if I telephone them they can maybe act because they are in touch with Little Lollypops

NicWhit · 24/02/2010 12:24

Forgot to say Emilie Et Rose think that this is not a bricks and mortar shop just an on line boutique

Loulock · 02/03/2010 13:50

Hi, just seen this thread. I ordered an Emile et Rose item from this online shop a couple of weeks ago. To put your minds at rest I did receive it within about 5 days. However, I paid for next day delivery as I needed it by the weekend and yet it took 5 days to arrive! I have emailed and telephoned to try and claim back the difference in postage costs (it's the principle rather than the cost!) but to date no response. Has anyone else made any progress? I would love to order more of their beautiful clothes but the customer service is putting me off.

Twinmum24 · 12/03/2010 10:38

Arghhh

I wished I'd seen this before I ordered. Ordered last Wednesday for Mothers day and when I spoke to the lady she told me what you had said but there is no mention on her website about delays etc

I agree that she should close the site until she is back up and running and whilst I sympathise with her plight she shouldn't be taking orders that she can't fulfil !!!

When I spoke to her she seemed uninterested and much like she didn't want the custom infact.

Think I'll just cancel the order and go elsewhere.

Sweetpea22 · 02/04/2010 23:50

Hi all,

Just joined Mumsnet and come across this discussion. I ordered a changing bag from Little Lollypops a week ago and despite calling and emailing my order is apparently still waiting to be dispatched. I have had no replies to my emails and just wondered if any of you had eventually managed to have your goods delivered??

Twinmum - did you cancel succesfully or did the order arrive?

Look forward to hearing from you!
