Hi all,

Has anyone tried a M&P Zoom?

5inthebed · 24/06/2009 16:19

Right, stripped gecko down and put covers in to wash. Stupid bloody MIL! Left it at hers as she had DS3 today so I could take driving lesson, and she must have smoked at least 20 cigarettes right next to it Gentle wash with non bio should be ok, shouldn't it? A bit worried that I wont remember how to put it back together again lol.

Have to do DS2's school statement this week, have to finalise everything before end of school year. Eek! My head hurst just thinking about it!

FlyMeToDunoon · 24/06/2009 16:44

Don't know about washing bug covers but I always wash on a 30o quick wash with biological powder.
Hanging it outside will help get rid of ciggy smell. My mum smokes and everything she sends me has to be well aired. DDs can tell which pacels come from her ick!

I'm knackered. Been out today, although I threw up right before we went out. Just popped into the town I work in and got Toms feet measured in Clarks. He is still an 8f, so no idea why he is refusing to wear his shoes!

I popped into work to say hello, then walked up the hill to the park. We had some lunch, then went into the swingpark. After awhile there, Tom decided to go on the big slide, but refused to come down it as he was wearing shorts, lol. So I went up, pulled his socks up and pushed him down! He cried. Evil mum, but I wasn't going to try carrying him down.

Tom is currently asleep on the sofa. I'd love a nap right now but must get dinner on.

gggrrrr 5in, how annoying!

still no word from first wheels seller im going to message again i think?

BexieID · 24/06/2009 18:22

5in - thats as bas as people who smoke around drying or ready to iron laundry. Pisses me off. My dad does it, MIL does it. Is it worth using nice washing powder for it to end up smelling of tobacco? My neighbours do it and weren't concerned when they had their washing out when we had a BBQ recently.

scattykatty · 24/06/2009 19:01

I think I have found a home I have a Bugaboo cam and a Mclaren XLR and have actually just suggested to DH that another baby would be worth it just to get a PT Vibe.... Is that really bad?

Ps Really fancy a Zapp to keep in the car, are they actually any good?

buggylovinmummy · 24/06/2009 19:22

You either love or hate zapps.

I loved mine, so light to push and small when folded but others will say they hate them.

5inthebed · 24/06/2009 19:31

I loved my Zapp, it was quick and nippy and done the job. But I lurve my BJCM

I wish they had had Phil & Teds when DS1+2 were younger, I would have had one without a doubt.

Bug covers washed and came up lovely. the white logo has come out looking bling

I'd message again Nicola, especially as you want to collect Friday.

buggylovinmummy · 24/06/2009 19:34

I agree the BJCM is nicer, it feels much sturdier than the zapp but not so compact when folded but i love the fact you can fold it with one hand.

I showed my mum the way it folds today and she was as amazed as me

scattykatty · 24/06/2009 19:39

5 do you have a Cam too? I've never actually washed the covers in 17 months as I really don't want fading/bobbling... Did that happen to your covers at all?

nicolamumof3 · 24/06/2009 19:42

i've messaged again to say would like to collect before w/end so lets see i suppose?

glad your covers came out well 5in

i did like my first zapp and loved my second one that i had in 09 colours to start with but then it felt a little flimsy, i changed it for a mac quest. the colours are fab tho and they do fold so small and my ds was comfy in it. good for what they are.

5inthebed · 24/06/2009 20:47

No, its a Gecko. No bobbling at all, washed on a delicate wash. If you're worried, you can also pop them in a pillow case for added security

nicolamumof3 · 25/06/2009 07:46

Morning all! wow so quiet on here? is everyone buggy'd out?!

maxybrown · 25/06/2009 07:49

Morning....have you heard about first wheels nicola? I see Dis is selling hers

nicolamumof3 · 25/06/2009 08:33

nope i haven't heard, bit about it now as its obvious she doesn't want to sell it for that and she will no doubt come back with some 'story'. but thats they risk you take if you start your auction at a certain price with no reserve. oh well, tbh it puts me right off and i will just leave things for a while tbh the quest is fab atm suits my needs but do need two prams for the days when tate won't walk so we will see.

What are you using mostly now maxy?

FlyMeToDunoon · 25/06/2009 08:34

Nicola can you get their phone number off ebay?
I know it's the opposite way round but the seller of my Infinity phoned me out of the blue.

nicolamumof3 · 25/06/2009 08:35

um i've got it but not sure im brave enough, i hate talking to strangers but i may well call this afternoon so that dp can pick up before he goes away.

5inthebed · 25/06/2009 08:39

Can't believe the seller still hasn't contacted you. How annoying.

I've been up most of the night with ds3. Wish he would bloody sleep! HV coming around later, but she was no use last time so not getting my hopes up about her being much more help.

FlyMeToDunoon · 25/06/2009 08:41

Oh dear 5in. Sleep loss is sooo awful. How old is he?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/06/2009 08:42

5in, ds3 was EXACTLY the same would feed and feed, he just wanted to be up, he never slept through til he was 18m. no reason for it. do you remember hunnie? at one stage they suggested sedatives for him as it was unbearable i was exhausted but then it just gradually improved. he never slept through til about 18m. its a shock when you have good sleepers then go to that.

nicolamumof3 · 25/06/2009 08:49

right im off for shower and toddler group. feeling quite positive this morning, managed to do some more coursework and washed floors already! good start to day

have good mornings see you all later xx

FlyMeToDunoon · 25/06/2009 08:50

DD1 my pfb fed constantly. I remember telling the HV that she fed for up to two hours at a time with a 45 min break. Of course that was probably me not knowing enough to get her off for a while.
I felt relief when she started feeding every two hours at about 8 weeks!
DD2 was a dream. She slept for up to 6 hours at night from the beginning. She fed well. She didn't throw up and choke like DD1. I thought I had it down pat.
Then DD3 came along and threw up choking after feeds, fed badly and slept with us for months.
Horrible.
No advice or magic words of wisdom but know where you are at.

5inthebed · 25/06/2009 08:56

He is 7 months Dunoon. He has managed maybe 6 nights of full sleep. I am so tired.

It is a shock Nicola as the other two slept through from 8 weeks. Its not normal this!

DS2 has autism as well, and he doesn't sleep. He is on sleeping tablets, but they don't work very well, so when DS3 is up, DS2 thinks he can get up as well. So much fun

I am meant to be going to a support group today, but MIL won't have ds3 today as she had him yesterday an I can't take him with me, so I won't be getting any support today.

Will just have to look at some pram stuff lol.
