mangopassionfruitshake · 30/06/2009 08:17

Morning, do you have lots of random posters dropping in asking you for advice? Is it really annoying? Can I bore you with stupid questions?

FlyMeToDunoon · 30/06/2009 08:17

I know that I will be washing again.

Morning all. I am in today waiting for a courier.

welcome mangopassionfruitshake ask as many questions as you like everyone is welcome

mangopassionfruitshake · 30/06/2009 08:33

They will be stupid questions, but you've had fair warning.

If you could only have 1 pushchair, what would you pick? We don't live in the UK but will be back for a few weeks in the summer, so it's a good opportunity to buy something better quality than we could find here - but we won't be able to change it/ sell it on easily if we get something that doesn't suit us.

I have dd who's 2.8, am due to have number 2 in November, so I want something for both of them. There are no pavements here, so needs to be sturdy. Any suggestions?

5inthebed · 30/06/2009 08:46

Do you want something to put both of them in? I would say a Phil & Teds would be your best bet then, although not sure how you woul get it back to where you live (are you travelling by plane?)

I have a Baby Jogger City Mini, and it's a great pram as well. Fits my 7 month old and my large 3 year old in. You can buy it in a double as well.

lecohen · 30/06/2009 08:49

wow Dis, that was SUCH a bargain on the esprit OMG!!!!

nicolamumof3 · 30/06/2009 08:51

Morning all, not feeling fab but its lovely you were all wondering about me so i wanted to pop in.

At my mums waiting for Terry to pick me up, have some sickness bug on top of cold so not great. don't think this heat agrees with me either.

Terry picked up first wheels yesterday and said all ok, just needs a clean wonder what that means? will inspect and report back later!

pebbles79 · 30/06/2009 09:00

Hope you're feeling better soon Nicola

nicolamumof3 · 30/06/2009 09:07

Think i need another lay down feeling sick again. yuck!! prob won't be on much today x

carrielou2007 · 30/06/2009 09:10

Morning, my boss is coming today so prob won't be able to sneak a peak with my dongle until hometime.

Nicola I hope you will get better soon, try to keep drinking lots of water in this awful heat.

Sal, I know you said something about computers there but then you lost me (really am that awful...did try to get dd's half sister to have a look but she said the router (??)is duff)

5inthebed · 30/06/2009 09:11

Poor you Nicola. Can't believe you're poorly just before your wedding! Hope you feel better soon. x

Hope the First Wheels isn't manky. Need review on it! Does anyone have dibs on it?

mangopassionfruitshake · 30/06/2009 09:14

Yeah, something for both of them - and we'll go by plane.

So is your Baby Jogger a different one than the Phil and Ted's?

And what do you call the ones that aren't side by side? So the toddler goes in the front, baby behind? I saw someone with one of those the other day - looked more convenient than side by side.

5inthebed · 30/06/2009 09:18

Phil & Teds

Baby jogger double

You mean a tandem?

Not sure how easy it would be to take a tandem on a plane though. Someone else might have better ideas though.

sal1309 · 30/06/2009 09:27

carrie if the router is duff then you wont be able to connect at via wireless but it could be a few things

  1. the wifi mode on your laptop has been turned off (normally a button on the front of laptop depending how old it is)
  1. your router could of blocked laptop out (if you had wireless on try and connect to wireless via your modem and see if it asks you for password).
  1. The router could of somehow been knocked off wireless which would mean logging directly into your router (wired up) and changing some settings on your router.

sounds complicated but really not that bad lol. If you fancy trying any let me know and i can always get hubby to give you a ring and guide you through step by step

Disenchanted3 · 30/06/2009 09:33

Not heard from infinity people, prpbably dun wanna pack, eek.

Its horrid here, cloudy and murky but still all sticky and yuck.

Pee'd off, lol, everyone was saying it was going to be like yesterday, even hotter, so i walked to the village and carried a blooody paddling pool, hose, attatchments and BBQ coal home for today.

claret1980 · 30/06/2009 09:35

Morning all!

mangopassionfruitshake · 30/06/2009 09:36

The Phil and Ted's one looks like the kind I was thinking of - so a tandem. It says it collapses down so should be okay on the plane??

FlyMeToDunoon · 30/06/2009 09:36

mangopassionfruitshake the Phil and Teds is a good option if you want them both in and are going over ground. Otherwise i would say a double Mountain Buggy. They are side by side but very sturdy and loved by all that have had them.
The P&T will go down to a single pushchair when your older DC is walking most of the time.
Ordinary tandems are heavy and I wouldn't imagine they would be good on rough ground.

I should think you could find a supplier that will ship to you abroad.
