Pushchair Shed - January

Right here we go I have made it nice and warm park your Pushchair in the shiny new pushchair shed

Puschair that looks like those american ones you see on the programmes about multiples

Right so the P&T has just arrived with the following problems

One of the back wheels doesnt have the clip part so wont fix to the frame

The main seat has mold on the zip the shoulder strap and the seat clip

the handle bar has chunks missing and the foam doesnt feel right all squishie!

So I have emailed them to see what they say! I feel a little bit cheeky though because it arrived with the following

two panniers in grey
Navy and grey sleeping bag
Navy and Grey cacoon
single P&T raincover
Double P&T raincover
Single P&T sunscreen
Double P&T sunscreen
Newborn raincover
Newborn sunscreen
shopping trolley bag
two shopping clips for the handle bars
drinks bag
Double seat

and I only paid £160 for the lot!

so need a new wheel or at least a wheel that will stay but and a new handle bar I think the covers will clean up as the mold is only really small and is new if that makes sense!

Shame about the mould/wheel/handle bar though

Hmm to P&T it's pros and cons isn't it. Annoying but as you say its is a bargain in many other ways. Will you cost replacements?

Meant to say aswell, when your DC's all got to 2.5YO did you star to get rid of bigger pushchairs and keep smaller ones?

I am seriously considering selling 03 Sport, as much as I love it I'm just not sure there is much call for it anymore although I do walk alot it's in streets maybe some uneven ground but not off roading...

Am gutted at the thought actually LOL.

right all change here. i have decided to keep the xt. it was only really for sale if i was keeping toro, but now having used the xt this morning i just love it, and it will be ideal as luka gets bigger too. so have to let disenchanted know.

Maclaren, re the p&t is that the one where they said you would need new covers? i'd asked for new covers myself i know its cheeky but if they've offered? having been screwed over myself you don't get if you dont' ask, oh and a new wheel! also see what they say re.handlebar?

I think the mold will come off with a little elbow grease and the other parts are £37 from practical pushchairs so I have emailed the seller to see if he want to refund me £37 to cover those bits and I will put up with the seat! see what he comes back with

Detol mold remover is fabulous, completely cleaned up my UD twin and that was so bad I thought I was going to have to dump it.

I was looking at that pushchair on littlewoods web too. Looks really smart but wheels looka s though they'd be a pain and pu me off.

i would love to try an o3 but as i've decided to keep p&t (sometimes better the devil you know lol!) i just won't have space for it as i really like the look of them.

Mama sorry about the footmuff, i don't think it would be any good as a footmuff tho for your little boy if he's tall, it is v.long but i wouldn't imagine luka fitting in it next winter when he's 2.5yrs iykwim? when does your techno arrive? let me know if the comfort pack will fit!

Hi don't have any personal experience of this stroller but seem to remember someone saying they had ordered one and sent it straight back because the quality wasn't good.

mama when max was that age I always had two a volo stroller and one for walking through fields at carboots

yep i'd sell individually macalren sell with doubles and raincover. i may be intersted in single raincover? what condition is it and how much? as i only have a doubles one.
then sell all the bits off i know the ladies on here would have the panniers whats a shopping trolley bag?

Maybe you should buy new covers for it as if you got it really cheap you would make it all back and more. I dont know much about P&T's though so just my wee opinion

To be honest the mold is about 5 dots on the zip right at the top so with the hood on you would see them it turned out to be food on the middle strap and the shoulder straps the mold came off with me flicking it lol!

everything else is in good nick the single raincover is for an E3 nicola so has a grey bottom rather than a black one (will fit the sport though)

Will have to think now about prices umm off to check ebay

Well I have been using the maclaren classic today and it is fab. I have half a mind to sell Slalom. Maclaren makes me feel so much free-er. Slalom all encumbered with padded hood, long and heavier. But it is good for park walks. wish there was a light weight all-terrain three wheeler. I used the maclaren because I was going to the re-cycling centre and I knew I could load it up with bags and the tyres wouldn't be in danger of punctures. Really silly that the Slalom is no use for tasks like that.

So anyone find me a good bargain on a black fleece Mavlaren footmuff and advise me as to wether it would fit a 2.3 yr old?

Maclaren - if you are selling your pannier bags, I may be interested. I only have a hang bag at the mo but I know when ds2 gets in his seat, I won't be able to use the basket underneath.

Boots have a 75% off sale on whatever is left on the christmas stuff. I have jsut been this morning and managed to pick up a few bits for presents for birthdays etc. Got £70 worth of stuff for £23. The website is down at the moment though.
