Vileda 'Active Wave' scourers - have you seen them anywhere?

Blu · 13/04/2008 16:52

Is there a national shortage? Tesco and Sainsbury's seem to have re-stocked with pathetic Spongtex offereings - and the Vileda Active Wave is the ONLY effective non-scratch scourer, IME!

Anyone seen them in stock anywhere else?

Bumping..I've been looking for them too.

fishie · 13/04/2008 20:52

oh i have a new thing of great wonder from peter jones. it is a reusable scouring pad, made of net and pads. it cost £4 and i love it. in washing machine now so cannot find its name.

serenity · 13/04/2008 20:59

I haven't been able to get them for a couple of months, it's irritating that I find it irritating. My inner teen is dying of shame

Blu · 13/04/2008 22:04

I am SO relieved it isn't just me anxious about them!

perhaps we should all write letters asking for them to be stocked?

Will look out for the John Lewis upstart pretender of a scoourer, but I'll take some convincing!

My DP is obsessed with those Vileda scourers, whenever he sees them he stockpiles! I'll ask him where he got the last lot.

Blu · 14/04/2008 13:28

Oh, yes please, Bluestocking!

I have stockpiled them in a mini way before becfause I have noticed gaps in supply.

I saw this the other day because I'd been looking too and I found some today in Wilkinsons

Macdog · 16/04/2008 19:41

Froogle results

car25 · 16/04/2008 22:21

Robert Dyas.

marmadukescarlet · 16/04/2008 22:31

My local Waitrose stopped selling them months ago, will take myself off to RD. TQ.

Blu · 17/04/2008 12:48

OK - will seek out a Robert Dyas...

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/04/2008 13:00

Quite a way to RD for me, and they don't have them on their website. Can people report back where they find them please? Dh is another one obsessed by them, and we are on our last one.

marina · 17/04/2008 13:02

I bagged some in Sainsbos over the Easter hols but I do wonder if the writing is on the wall as Ocado have discontinued them too. And, as everyone says, they really are the best around. Am so relieved to hear of other dps being obsessed with them, I thought it was just mine...

WendyWeber · 17/04/2008 13:10

I don't know these particular ones, Blu, but you can get cellulose sponge scourers at Lidl & Sainsbos - the yellow or orange ones with green backs.

(I think they are the same as the pathetic Spongtex ones though so maybe not good enough)

I am at all these DPs who care what they wash up with

Blu · 17/04/2008 16:44

ww - it's not the cellulose-ness of them, it's the scratchy plastic scourer side.

I haven't given up hope, though, because they have disappeared fro long periods before.

Oh why oh why couldn't DP have stockpiled Vileda scourers instead of bloody Ecover washing-up liquid???

saltire · 17/04/2008 16:48

Have you tried Wilkinsons? I got some in there about 2/3 weeks ago

Blu · 17/04/2008 16:51

this is the object of desire

OP posts:
saltire · 17/04/2008 16:52

That's a mop

Blu · 17/04/2008 16:52

Oh, sorry - it doesn't link to the actual scourer. Choose products / wash and wipe / / active wave / scourers / foam backed

OP posts:
saltire · 17/04/2008 16:54

Yes they are the ones I saw in Wilkinsons. they had loads.

Blu · 17/04/2008 16:55

Yes, Saltire - domestically innattentive i may be, but i can recognise a mop!

OP posts:
Blu · 17/04/2008 16:57

OK - have looked at Wilkinson's Store Locator and will have to send Batters to Epsom for some. She likes going to epsom

OP posts:
saltire · 17/04/2008 16:59

Well if she can't get any, let me know and I will have a look in Wilkinsons in town on Monday and get you some and post them. CAT me if she can't get them

Blu · 17/04/2008 17:03

oh, Thank you, Saltire - you are a star!

Thay are actually available from Wilkinson's online, so iI might invest in a huge lot and avoid this sort of anxiety in the future!

OP posts:
Blu · 17/04/2008 17:24

I have ordered 20 packets from Wilkinson online!
