just been looking on the peg perego website and they are bringing out a 'pliko switch' this year that faces either forwards or facing you!! wonder if it will be any good? wonder if it will be loads more expensive? just thought i would mention it as a lot of people look for rear facing buggies.

look here

i am selling the pliko switch i am in liverpool it has everything with it and also the prima viaggio car seat and base anyone intrested send me a message.i paid £570 for everything and it is 8 months old want £300.00 as literally brand new as was always in the car...

JGab · 25/03/2009 20:49

Wondering what people with the Pliko Switch think of the weight of it, and how easy the folding and unfolding is?

I am a small woman and struggle with lifting a lot of weight, especially in and out of a car boot.

Sorrento · 25/03/2009 23:29

veno, I would be very interested in the switch, dh will kill me, does it have the carrycot and the seat ?

Sorrento · 25/03/2009 23:31

Hina - I have exactly the same thoughts the M&P car seats never win anything and are generally disliked the maxi cosy is brilliant but the loola isn't the best.
So was thinking about the switch or the bugaboo bee and am on my 4th child, it doesn't get any easier I promise.

Rosa · 26/03/2009 14:14

I have tred the switch and nearly bought it but then I bought a bugaboo bee instead.
The Switch is a solid good buggy - I loved the Pliko P3 ( I trashed mine as living where I do they really do get a battering) but wanted a rear facing pushchair for dd2. It seemed good , solid , easy to fold and stands alone. I tried it against the Loola and the Loola should be lighter but it seemed much heavier as it is that bit shorter.
Half of me is a bit that I abandoned Peg but also the colours were so boring .. Well in Italy anyway !!!!

Veno,

Do you still have the pram for sale?

beetle26 · 11/05/2009 21:34

Heh there
I read this post with great interest - hope you are all doing well with your little ones at this stage they are all probably here, some of them enjoying their pliko switches... i was interested in ordering one online from bimbomarket - so would be very interested in your opinion on this? Also did you get the pram liner Werdna? Is it true the Silver Cross Pram liner works with the Pliko Switch too ?? I think I need to do a bit more investigation before buying this... but it is our favourite so far ...
any information reviews etc welcome

winter08 · 28/05/2009 16:47

i was thinking of ordering from there too, any reviews on the company?

lhep01020509 · 06/07/2009 13:30

Is anyone selling a pliko switch please

Angstisme · 07/07/2009 10:46

I bought a Chicco 4 me instead of the switch, much much lighter and the car seat did better in the which reports too.

WLMcG · 11/07/2009 16:22

Hi lhep01020509

Are you still interested in the pliko switch? I have one that I'm keen to sell. As you're probably aware, it's a pram (when the pram liner is used) as well as rear and forward-facing pushchair. I've also got the Primo Viaggio I.P. car seat to sell with the Switch. Let me know.

faye0333 · 13/07/2009 22:25

We bought the Switch 2 in 1 because it seemed to do everything we wanted it to - pram mode (without separate carry cot), rear facing seat, forwad facing seat and click on and off car seat. Baby is now 6 months and we have loved it for all those reasons listed!
I do tend to get a bit of pram envy with the more 'funky' bagaboo-esq prams but for function you really can't beat it.
The pram mode is lovely and comfy and even though she grew out of it pretty quick, with a cosy toes pram liner it still feels snug and cosy with the lieflat option - it is a perfect transition between newborn lieflat and buggy mode.
It's not the smallest system but I think thats the trade you make for all the great features. We have a Ford Focus and have plenty of room. At the beginning (in pram mode) we had to pop the seat off the chassis to put it in the boot but now we just collapse the whole thing and stick it in.
We also bought the isofix in-car system which is a godsend but the only downside is the car seat itself - it's pretty heavy.
The maxi cosy seats are about 1kg lighter and less bulky but I always thought newborns looked too scrunched up in them whereas the angle of the M&P one gave them a good view.

To be honest there seems to be no such thing as the perfect pram, what's right for one mum isn't quite right for another so hopefully my review is helpful to you all!

faye0333 · 14/07/2009 09:01

Oh I also forgot to mention that if you go 'off road' on gravel etc then the wheels can eventually get a bit slow and squeaky but all you have to do is pop them off, give them a clean and spray them with WD40 and they're back to new!

charlie14114 · 01/09/2009 10:20
