Kia Piccanto or Honda Jazz?

Quick, I’m about to lease one of these. Which one will I go for? They both have 1.3L engines. I’m limiting myself because I like an automatic, but I’m not a petrolhead - I just need a car to get to work. Any opinions? I had a Civic before and loved it. Is a Honda more respectable than a Kia?

Not read whole thread, but wanted to contribute as I have had two awful experiences with auto gearbox Jazzes.

Honda engines are great, but they don't seem to have ever mastered the auto gearbox. The second one kept trying to kill me by just not being in gear any more at random times such as the middle of roundabouts! Honda messed me about something awful too. I'd never deal with them again.

I bought a Kia Picanto and took it back two weeks later because it wasn't fit for my needs.

I swapped it for my Honda Jazz which has never given me a moments worry, never broken down, easy drive etc. OK, it's not the fastest motor on the road but what do I care?

And I'm not old but I am ageing as disgracefully as I possibly can.

Let me fix that for you:

The Dealer messed me about something awful too. I'd never deal with them again

One dealership doesnt represent all of the same brand. I had an awful time with my (prevoius) cheapshit built Santa Fe, but does that mean ALL of Hyundai's dealerships are the same?
