Why is it a strange post? Why would I want ‘better’ response

It’s nit great sat by a hospital bed for days on end with a loved one who’s been injured by a motorist

Wondered if others have been through this?

Well because...no one owes you a story. Normally, you share yours. Then if people are so inclined, they may share theirs.

Its the way youve phased it, you say you want to know if any one else has gone through this, well youd get people naturally sharing if you wrote

So i'm sitting by the side of a hospital bed, my relative was injured in a car accident. I'm feeling awlful aa there's nothing more i can do.

The responses you'd get then would be - oh hand hold hope your ok what happened?
And then following your answer to what happened you'd get the stories.

You've not shared any of your own experience so why should any one share with you? No ones going to say yes i know what that feels like cos we don't know if the experence is similar or not.

At best your Op looks like a request to fill a newspaper article.

You do want better responses than your a troll, or no i presume you want some one to sympathise and comfort you by sharing their experience.

OP has been around for years, and always been sane and sensible. If her post was a bit brusque/lacking in details I imagine she may well be in shock/traumatised by what's happened to her relative.

I've not been in your exact position OP, but it can be stressful and at times a distressing experience being by the bedside of a seriously ill person.
