Hi Mums.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what your outcome was?
Ordered a Sofa and Cuddler Sofa from DFS. The Cuddler wont get into the Living room on the angle :-(

Gone down the route of contacting Window fitters to see if they can remove ours to get the sofa in but its going to costs no less than £400.

So in the event that DFS 'buy back' the sofa... they are telling me they take 30-40% of the price I paid.
Is this right?! Surely I'm entitled to all of my money back? it hasn't even been sat on. I'll be buying an alternative from them just something smaller.

Haven't been happy at all with the delivery guys either, they've spent next to no time attempting it.
Had nothing to sit on for 2 weeks - nightmare!

xx

You should get more quotes for removing the window, when we had our sofa delivered and could not get it in the lounge we called a local window fitter/builder. He came and popped the middle panel out of our front window, it was a five minute job and cost us £20.
When we moved out DH googled it and then did it himself. This was with a large double glazed Victorian bay.

Do you have a under stairs cupboard you could open to give extra turning space

Dwell (who are part of DFS I think) took ours that wouldn't fit away and gave us a full refund, but they wouldnt even try to get it in the house, maybe that is why

We popped the glass panel out of our window ourselves too. I'm no window expert, but I thought most windows you could get the glass out of (from the inside) relatively easily? We had the same problem with our sofa delivery and the delivery guys just showed my (not very handy) husband what to do and they got the glass out. It didn't cost anything.
