My parents came round to visit us today and bought the kids a 8ft garden trampoline. Its brilliant, I think I may have a problem getting them in today.

Not so good if you haven't got a very good pelvic floor though !!!!

Just thought I would share that with anyone who was thinking of buying one

Father Christmas bought one this year for DDs and nothing to do with me always wanting one. Its round, they used it without the safety cage for the first month (because the safety cage was still being made by the elves) with two of them on. You aren't supposed to have more than one at a time anyway per the instructions, but what the hey.

With four on last Friday (2@6 and 2@4 years) I was rather more glad that we had put the cage up around them. Some people offer the safety cage as a sweetner to the package.

DH put the main thing up in 1.5 hours, but the cage took two for about the same. We went for large as poss 14ft, but only because I'm such a heifer, and they have a max weight limit depending on the size.

We have a cover, but don't use it. In fact, if it rains heavily our instructions say to take the cover off otherwise the weight of the pool of water stretches the springs.

We used Jump for Fun, who were pretty good. (except the nuts were missing out of the cage package, but when I called they were sent next day). Heartily recommend it.

Gumdrop - thanks for the information. It was really useful. I've checked out the Jump for Fun site and their prices seem pretty good. Don't deliver free to Scotland - but can't have everything I suppose!

I bought an 8ft one, complete with cover and safety enclosure for £99.99+vat. On special atm from Makro. Cant wait to put it up!

really pleased with ours, had a good bounce at the weekend! Any fitness gurus know how much bouncing is enough for a good workout?

bluesky, don't know about fitness but its just about the worst thing you can do for your pelvic floor muscles (well, apart from give birth . . .)
