Safe Sex Outdoors

I've always wanted to try a bit of Al Fresco so I'm looking to plan ahead for the spring/summer.
How on earth do we go about it???
I don't want to be somewhere where people could stumble across us. It's not about that at all. But that leaves me stumped for ideas of where we could go outdoors that guarantees that much privacy.
Any woods I know of all have trails so it would be hard to go off track. I live near the beach but that's too public. As with parks, gardens and green spaces.
How do you like minded people do it? Or am I missing the point completely and people who do this do so with the risk of getting caught? We don't want to get arrested or offend anyone. We'd just really like to explore having fun outdoors. How can we do it safely?
(We live in the South by the coast if anyone has specific spots!)

Plenty of forests on the south coast to go off track. New Forest? I may have wandered off track there a few times…

BensBounty · 12/01/2024 09:24

Is it easy to go off track somewhere like the New Forest and find a suitable spot? I have images of climbing over 4ft high vegetation, stinging nettles and brambles! Lol!

We did this a few times when younger. Broom is great because it offers lots of shelter - altho the provocative coconut smell can create embarrassment when using sun cream on the beach. Pine forests are good because they tend not to get too over grown so if you are prepared to walk you can get well away from the paths.

Start off in a car?

However once, in the north of Scotland, the midges got the better of us and we have to run for cover in the car. My backside had "measles"

SeventiesSteve · 12/01/2024 12:18

we sort of graduated from inside car, on the car ! to the bushes and against the trees.

one of you is lookout - the prospect of being caught/watched adds to the excitement of it all.

we are also on the South coast

good luck and enjoy

topnoddy · 12/01/2024 12:34

How about starting out in your garden if you have one ?

BensBounty · 12/01/2024 13:29

I don't want to do it in the car and it's not about the excitement of being caught as that's the last thing I'd want. I just want to be outside. The garden in not an option as that's not private at all. It's overlooked by lots of neighbours, lol!

Winter is probably a good time to scout out possible forest locations for later in the year. Bear in mind that there will likely be a lot more leaf cover when the weather is warm enough to enjoy things, but in winter you can spot any nearby tracks better. Also you can say you're looking for fungi, if questioned on scouting trips😁

BensBounty · 12/01/2024 14:00

Oh gosh! Sounds like I might need to work on my map drawing skills then lol! If I leave a trail of breadcrumbs what's the chances of them still being there by spring? But thank you. That's a good tip to consider.

Use a gps (i recommend a handheld garmin) and mark prime likely sites. I do this, more innocently, to find my way to freecamping spots.
Less innocently on the core question, I have always had the idea that pine forests are less good - wonky ground, sometimes drainage ditches. After a less than perfect experience in one pine forest I came to prefer broad leaf woods. Many old school OS maps disinguish between the two types of tree. For all I know this useful feature maintains their sales.
On being seen, my experience is that a fair few women actually like this, or at least the prospect.

Offwiththecircus · 12/01/2024 14:34

On gps. Ponders whether to relate the tale some woman told me. Told to another woman (no ID) and she said that the story was bizarre enough to be true.

OpalOrchid · 12/01/2024 22:19

No one needs to see you having sex outdoors. It might be your fantasy but it's disgusting to inflict your fantasy or kink on anyone without their consent.

NCmistermistress · 13/01/2024 01:44

@OpalOrchid ..... really??
Do you ever switch the light on?

The countryside is huge, plenty of space for us all without inconveniencing others.

I think you should probably try reading the content of my post before commenting because the whole point of my thread is about where to find somewhere private where people will not see.
Do you go knocking on your neighbours doors before you have sex to get their consent in case they hear you through the wall?

Offwiththecircus · 13/01/2024 08:45

On the risk of being seen, am no lawyer but I have the idea that in practical law you wouldn't be subject to legal consequences as long as you are somewhere you wouldn't reasonably expect anyone to encounter you.
As for recommendations asked for upthread, I wouldn't have thought it a good idea for specific places to be mentioned on a public forum or there might well be visual contact.
Probably wouldn't be doing the act early in the morning but would avoid early mornings - dog walkers seem to get pretty much anywhere.
Strikes me that there may be certain similarities between good alfresco sex spots and wild camping spots so may be back with some generalised recommendations.

BensBounty · 13/01/2024 09:15

It's not illegal.

In the UK, ‘public sex’ means it must occur in a place where there is a high possibility of at least two members of the public possibly seeing it.
But sex in isolated places is technically OK, so long as you have a reasonable expectation of privacy – and, of course, you don’t get spotted

We're just being kink shamed!

On Saturdays l ask them to join in 😂!

Seriously though the term “ants in your pants” comes to mind. Which is why, being of a certain age, l prefer a nice comfortable mattress and a pillow under my bum!

thanks for that - sort of sort of matches my vague idea, but what's the "at least two" about? Are you sure of that?

Offwiththecircus · 13/01/2024 09:55

Re my suggested places and parallels with wild camping, sometimes the least likely places can be best - ie bits of greenery, which can be quite small but aren't worth rambling in/dog walking in and where it is difficult for anyone to get to and where they can't easily stop a car. I have for instance bivvied in a very small verge with minimal tree cover right next to a dual carriageway. No easy way for someone to stop there.
I stress that I'm not advocating using urban roundabouts.

BensBounty · 13/01/2024 10:04

One person is allowed to see but anymore is a big illegal no no! Lol!
No idea why. That paragraph was copied from the Internet but several sources all say the two thing.
I'll be taking a blanket and trying to avoid ants and sand!

When younger, exBF and I used to have nowhere to DtD so we used to go alfresco. We lived close to South Downs so used to walk and find somewhere off the beaten track. I always wore a long flowing skirt so I could keep clothes on and favoured being on top so the skirt hid things if anyone ever did stumble across us. No one ever did.

Emptyandsad · 13/01/2024 22:12

I thought this was a thread about the practicalities of safe sex out doors - so how to dispose of your condom. I was going to suggest hanging it on a tree, like so many dog walkers do with their poo bags

Lol! Yes okay that was possibly not the best choice of thread title. I meant safe as in not getting caught!

Last summer we just pulled alongside a field on a country road. Went for a stroll in the long grass. Lay down the picnic blanket and off we went. Not a soul for miles.

Regarding safety...if you're going to do that, take Piriton before you go. The grass was so long and we were in the thick of it breathing heavily. It made for two streaming noses by the end of the session.

TheGander · 14/01/2024 17:10

Only place I’ve risked it is abroad, in retrospect must be because most other European countries are less densely populated and I felt confident we wouldn’t be seen.

NoKnit · 14/01/2024 18:44

I don't think you can plan it has to be spontaneous otherwise just isn't as good.

Yes talking from experience in particular in a pub with large beer garden wearing a flowing sort of skirt whilst reading large Sunday papers one sunny afternoon. No didn't full on do the deed but boyfriend managed his hands up my skirt. How good did that feel? 😁Christ I'm ready to cum just thinking about it again
