Just to say, I’m a woman despite my user name - it’s a Peep Show reference.

I’ve not long come out of a sexless relationship and realised I might like to get back on the horse with a FWB situation. However, I’m now in my 40s and just can’t be bothered shaving or waxing and all that like I used to.

Does it matter that much to men or are they happy with natural?

An occasional trim with a pair of scissors is fine with me. A set of bird nests is a little off putting.

Not keen on hairy legs personally but they're your legs, do what you like with them.

Andypandy799 · 05/03/2023 17:57

As @Surplus2requirements just have a little trim so you don’t look like you’ve got a birds nest down there 👇 😆

DGConsultant · 05/03/2023 17:59

Will totally depend on the bloke, personally I use ManScape, cleaner and much more comfortable, but also depends on your own expectations. It would be ridiculous to expect your partner to shave, for example, if you're rocking a proper bush on both legs and down below. Some grooming is kind of the done thing...

ManFeelings · 05/03/2023 18:06

TBF, I’m naturally pretty neat but I have dark hair so what I do have is noticeable. I don’t care what other people do with their bodies but would probably lean towards a preference for natural. I’d rather be celibate than shave or wax my legs again.

@ManFeelings that's totally your choice. I'm completely aware women have body hair and there's no rational for my feelings about legs, more so than underarms fwiw

I'm sure there's many men who don't care

DGConsultant · 05/03/2023 18:12

Ultimately It all depends on the type of FWB partner you end up discovering, some men won't mind, some will. Personal preference. Good luck on finding someone who really doesn't care how much hair you're rocking. Going natural shouldn't be discouraged, but you just need to find a partner with similar proclivities as you.

MyMachineAndMe · 05/03/2023 18:34

I'm as nature intended as a 40 something woman. Dh would prefer me smooth but doesn't mind enough to ask me to do anything about it.

NotTooOldPaul · 05/03/2023 19:00

I love oral, I mean I love giving oral to a lady (for the past 20 years exclusively to my wife). I like to see a nice hairy bush, for me it is sexy, inviting and feels fantastic against my face.

Surplus2requirements · 05/03/2023 19:03

@NotTooOldPaul my preference is the opposite for the same reason.

We're all different 😊

exactly, so ManFeelings can relax and know that she will find someone who likes her as she is no matter how she is

OhJeez40isjustaroundthecorner · 05/03/2023 20:01

I trim/shave down below, DH prefers it too and it feels more sensitive when he’s giving me oral, I also shave my legs too. It is entirely up to you, as it’s your body, it’s your choice.

AbsolutePixels · 05/03/2023 20:02

I hear you OP. The endless treadmill of hair removal is one of several reasons why I'll never bother with a relationship again. It's so unjust that women feel they must depilate every area of there body to be presentable for sex. Why can't men be as attracted to us in our natural state as we are to them!

In answer to your question, I think there are broadly speaking two categories of heterosexual men: those who are attracted to women and those who think they're attracted to women but really are attracted to femininity. These are the ones who are happy to go with T-girls if they've had enough surgery and pass well enough. Find one of the real woman lovers and you'll be ok.

Surplus2requirements · 05/03/2023 20:12

@AbsolutePixels wait...what? T-girls?

I've got a preference but not really bothered either way but I definitely prefer my partners not to have a cock!

What does that make women who prefer men less hairy?

AbsolutePixels · 05/03/2023 20:21

@Surplus2requirements 🤣🤣🤣

There's no amount of hair that could deter me from wanting to lick the balls of a man I was really attracted to. Just saying...

DGConsultant · 05/03/2023 20:31

I think there's an important distinction between wanting a FWB arrangement, and a long-term relationship/marriage. With the FWB thing, both participants are probably going to be more picky and discerning, but obviously any decent guy won't kick their wife/long-term partner out of bed if they've not shaved in a while!

AbsolutePixels · 05/03/2023 20:51

That's interesting @DGConsultant , I'd have thought it'd be the other way round. Men aren't that picky when it comes to casual sex are they?

DGConsultant · 05/03/2023 21:01

I don't think that this kind of topic actually runs across gender lines anymore, It is societal. Some men will be very picky in relation to their FWB, some won't, as will some women. Where there's an emotional connection, you aren't going to want the others feelings hurt. Some women want us guys to shave/wax/trim/ManScape, some guys want their partner to do the same regularly, and some people just want to shag, and don't care about aesthetics. I'd suggest in societal terms, at least some grooming is now the norm, but that doesn't make It either right or desirable.

Surplus2requirements · 05/03/2023 21:12

Slightly off topic...I know that it's about protection but what on earth is nature planning to throw at men in their 50's to suddenly require excess nose and ear hair!?!

Mermaidparades · 05/03/2023 21:27

I decided to remove my pubic hair with IPL then get a VCH piercing. I’d had high bikini waxes since my 20s. My partner of many years thought I’d lost the plot, why would I put myself through even more torture? He was not in favour. However - from m an oral sex perspective it has absolutely added more intimacy, I love to feel his breath on my skin. And he quickly adjusted to the new me!

So much so that he got a Man Scape trimmer for himself! And is completely diligent about using it. It does make giving blow jobs more pleasant, without a doubt!

Mermaidparades · 05/03/2023 21:36

@Surplus2requirements hmmm what needs to be filtered out?
It’s caused by an increase in testosterone apparently, so nothing to complain about really!!

AbsolutePixels · 05/03/2023 21:40

I'd suggest in societal terms, at least some grooming is now the norm

Working in women's health I can vouch that, indeed, hair removal 'down there' is now the norm. As a pragmatist, I do actually present my self in a very feminine way, it's just that my inner Andrea Dworkin is shaking her finger at me and looking disappointed.

Surplus2requirements · 05/03/2023 21:42

Don't worry @Mermaidparades my petrol hedge trimmer has just about got it under control

Mermaidparades · 05/03/2023 21:45

@Surplus2requirements I’m glad to hear that you’ll be able to hear sweet nothings whispered into your ear! 😁

DGConsultant · 05/03/2023 21:51

@Surplus2requirements , petrel hedge trimmer? now that's getting the job done... There's trimming the forest, and then there's trimming the forest...

DGConsultant · 05/03/2023 21:55

The funniest ManScape analogy I've heard is "Trim the grass to make the yard look bigger", and I suppose It rings true...
