Gone too far with sex toy?

For the last couple of years I've got DH something 'naughty' for Christmas, usually some sexy underwear (for me). This year I thought it would be fun to get a sex toy, so I ordered one of those wrist and ankle restraints that goes under the mattress, as I thought it sounded quite hot. Anyway, it's just arrived, and it looks like something out of a bloody sex dungeon - all heavy duty straps and leather cuffs and metal rings. I'm now panicking a bit that I've gone too far and he'll either laugh or think I've gone nuts! Can anyone reassure me that these things are good? Any tips for how to carry this off?

They are good. Hard work to set up on your own but do so and strap him in on Christmas day. He will be at your mercy

I'm more interested in being at his, to be honest, but that way round could be fun too.

Sounds like I'd better add 'setting up the sex dungeon' to the endless list of Christmas things to do!!

They look far worse than they are - most of it will vanish under the mattress and you'll end up with a strap and cuff at each corner.

Or put the cuffs on yourself then it's just a case of clipping you to the straps. Good luck!

We have those and they're pretty good. Most will go under the mattress and we can hide them when we have visitors!

OK that's encouraging, thank you. I think lots of alcohol (after the IKEA bit!) and then just go for it. I did get some gorgeous underwear as well, so I'll have that to give me a bit of courage! NB I like the idea of leaving it in place, that sounds more spontaneous than having to set it up every time.

Under bed restraints. I've got some. I'm not into anything heavy. It's just a bit of playful fun. Don't overthink it.
