How often do you use lube?

I’m wondering if I under use it Blush for those of you that have had various partners, how usual is it to get the lube out??

I only use it when inserting a sex toy. I don't feel I need it during sex as I get quite wet.

@lady725516 do you have it out already or how do you broach it with partner? None of the guys I have slept with have ever asked for it so I presumed most people don’t use it but I think I need to start but a bit concerned about next partner!

I keep it in my drawers and just get it out when I need to. It makes it more enjoyable (for us anyways) so not sure why a partner would t want to use it.

I Also use it for a handjob, makes it better

Really? Never heard that at all. I have lube, but it just sits in a drawer. I'm thinking I should get it out and see the effects on my man during a handjob.

We don’t use it, I don’t think it would change things really, as I generally get very wet during foreplay and sex anyway.

Although I've never had any issues getting wet for sex (apart from a few occasions during pregnancy), when I was dating, I'd take a couple of sachets with me, so we'd have it wherever we ended up, as it really did help at the start if the guy was on the girthy side. I would just put some around and a little way into my vagina when it looked as if he was ready to go in and I might just say 'Think we'll need a bit of help' or something like that. I think the big guys took it as a compliment! Nowadays, there's always some Sylk in the bedside drawer, just in case.

Going back in time, I used it now and then - sort of secretly applied in the bathroom if I though we were going to have sex. Sometimes we just had sex without and I generally get wet when we get going. Then about 4 years ago, DH bought me a vibrator along with some Durex massaage gel and we both realised what we had been missing. Now we use lube every time we have intercourse and DH applies it to both of us - no more secrecy. We like the silicone type best but it is not good with a vibrator so we also have the aloe vera water based one if we get up to vibrator based passion. For me, lube makes sex more enjoyable and allows more frequent love making - in the past, if I had a good intercourse session more than twice a week I would be on the verge of vaginal soreness - now no problems and it is all about pleasure. We have even had sex 4 or 5 times in a week when on hols - not possible for me without some lube.

The "etiquette" in our bed is that the lube is in DH's bedside drawer and when he gets it out, I apply it to his erection - then the action starts!

No, it’s better, I have found some women are a bit rough and lube certainly can help, don’t forget his balls and perineum, and definitely definitely use lube if you going for some anal play

@Brawoe1 I think it is used so much more now, compared to say 5 or 10 years ago. I'm in my late 40s and it wasn't something that was commonly used when we were in our 20s or 30s but it is so much more popular now. As you know, you can buy it in your local supermarket. I really don't think there's any shame or embarrassment to using it, if anything it would be considered a proactive move 😁 It's no longer used just for women in the menopause, many couples in their 20s & 30s use it and no-one bats an eyelid.
Try it OP and see if you & your partner like it.

@Jumpking, there’s lots you can do with lube you can’t without! Try rubbing slowly between the palms of both hands, moving up and down. Or hold the shaft in one hand, rub the palm of your other hand in circles over the head. Start off gently, go firmer if he can take it. Might be too much for some blokes!

try some lube on one hand and start with a gentle turning movement sliding your hand from base to tip, and go from there, every man will be different and will like a different movement

@Brawoe1 , a nice treat you can give someone with lube. Get him to lube up, then lie on your stomach. He rubs against your bum, but there is no penetration. You can improve it for him by pushing your bottom up against him, wriggling around, and squeezing your buttocks together. You could try putting a pillow under your hips beforehand. Make sure he has some wet wipes to clean you up when he’s finished.

there is someone I’m chatting to and as I said have never brought lube into the game as I haven’t needed it but as PP said, it was never spoken of 5+ years ago so I want to see what else it can do! I just was a little unsure of the err etiquette, I don’t want to be like excuse me whilst I lube up…. Then it be awkward 🤣
