Is it okay not to shave your pubes?! When I was younger and had a lot more time on my hands I would quite often shave my vagina but I always hated it. I was never any good at it, I have sensitive skin and would grow back itchy and prickly. So a few years ago I stopped. I only trim now and maybe shave round the top of my legs. It’s not a bush but hair is also very fair so I thought it was okay to do this.

Ladies, how many of you don’t shave? Men do you mind a lady having pubes?

I’ve been with my partner for 6/7 years and he’s always said that he doesn’t mind either way as long as I don’t have a massive bush (I shaved at the beginning of our relationship but don’t know anymore) but he knows I hate shaving so might be just saying he doesn’t mind hair as he knows I hate doing it!!

Perfectly OK. I was happy with either in my single years; preferred either all off or all on to fancy designs though. It's more about hygiene than with or without for me, but bikini line trim is good.

The only time it would matter to me is if it was overly bushy, which would put me off oral sex, as it can get in the way and be very tickly.

Trimmed is fine, as is shaved/waxed.

On the list of things that make a healthy and fulfilling sex life, it's got to be very near the bottom of the list of priorities.

My Dw trims down there which is fine but if she forgets it can get a bit trickery on my face and I shave as she does not like hair when giving a bj .

Whatever feels good, I say. Your body, your call.

I used to shave as STBXH liked it. New DP prefers me to have pubes, which is what I prefer too.

I do trim a bit of the length & shave a bit round the edges.

Also haven't shaved my armpit hair for several months, which we both really like. I do shave my legs though

Of course it is alright not to. It is what you prefer and that is fine. I do think in a relationship it is nice to understand you partners preferences when deciding but you have already understood that.
I am the other way. I know my DH prefers nothing down below. Although I am fine and got to prefer it like that, I did get a little fed up with the shaving and unexpectedly tried waxing (my beautician persuaded me to give it a try) and I find it is great so we are both happy which is what's important!

I choose to be a “smoothy” for my own personal reasons, including sensitivity, feels nicer for me on gbe hot weather and I prefer the apoearance. But the reasons are totally for me not anyone else.

The same applies to you, it’s personal choice.

One point i missed above is the interesting liberated guys on here that don't mind either way. From my knowledge that isn't the norm and most guys seem to prefer the smooth look, for whatever reason. not just from me chatting (granted after a fair amount of wine) with girlie mates but from my DH who reckons it is most guys preference....but hey of course i could be proved wrong

I shaved fully at University as it seemed like my friends were doing the same from girly chats but once i was about 25 my DP of the time asked if I would grow. Never looked back. I shave so my hairs not visible above my knickers but DP thinks hair down there is sign of a proper grown woman. Im 43 now and proud of how I look. Enjoy whichever route you choose.

It doesn't bother me one way or another. I have experienced all levels of coverage and can't say I've got a preference. I think it's far more important that my face is cleanly shaven.

I dont really care. But when i grew up shaving was unheard of - even in porn mags!

That said i’ve always found it very sexy if woman in lacy knickers has pubes - something about the shadow...

No question though, the 20-30 something men in the office def prefer no pubes

I think now I am 43 i would feel very uncomfortable shaving knowing its the thing people my DDs age do.

But you could make a huge list of thingss you do that people your daughter’s age do.

Where I was coming from was do what you want to fo for you! Don’t not do something because your daughter, or the woman next door for that matter, does it.

And don’t do something because they do it either.

I only trim. I think it’s a generational thing, my youngest colleagues find it gross!

I shave the below bit but keep a neat square at the front

I much prefer a full, neat bush every time so definitely ok!

Although either way would be fine but i find it much more 'womanly' as opposed to shaved.

The only time shaved is maybe 'easier' is when it comes to oral sex.

Stay looking good with cared for square of hair. I shave further down as DP prefers giving me oral that way but seeing a bush above is a fantastic sign of being a mature woman. Enjoy.
