Discreet lube for bum sex

areynold · 19/12/2017 11:31

I want to get some suitable lube for bum sex but all the products I see only have very conspicuous labelling on the bottles. That makes it impossible to have in the house.

Is there good lube with discreet labelling? What do you other people do?

If you've found this page in search of lubes that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best lubricants useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

can you peel the label off?

Mumsymcmumface · 19/12/2017 12:38

We have coconut oil which sits perfectly innocently in the kitchen cupboard.

Just saying.

areynold · 19/12/2017 14:30

cherrycola2004 It's very hard to know from the pictures of the products on the web.

Mumsymcmumface That sounds like a good solution.

Do you find coconut oil provides enough lubrication? I always found that the more lubrication the better for me. (I also assume you then can't use it with a condom. )

Pjur backdoor glide is good & was highly recommended on This Morning

TheNaze73 But look at the label! bit.ly/2BibwCc

It’s very discreet Grin

Sliquid lube is excellent and pretty discreet

KY Jelly is always a good choice for bumsex, with very boring looking packaging and the non specific description of 'personal lubricant' on the tube.

bridgetoc · 20/12/2017 01:30

I second KY jelly........ Great lube for anal sex.

areynold · 20/12/2017 08:32

I am really happy to get recommendations from MN as I hate the online reviews that start “My wife really enjoys...”. I don’t want to hear what some man thinks a woman needs for lube!

I have to admit however that I hadn’t thought of KY Jelly since giggling with my friends about “grown ups” when I was a girl! How things change...

I don't understand the need for high security discretion? It doesn't have to be in the family bathroom cabinet or on your bedside table.

I keep a washbag in the wardrobe with lube and condoms, sex toy cleaner, massage oil etc - it just comes out for the occasion then goes back in. No one sees it, it's behind my folded clothes.

Can you adopt something similar OP?

areynold · 20/12/2017 12:27

mickhucknallspinkpancakes That would be ideal but DC get into everything and I don't want to take the risk.

Surely it is available at Center Parcs?!!

areynold · 20/12/2017 21:32

AkimboLimbo. Can the labels be peeled off the Sliquid bottles by any chance?

ForalltheSaints it’s not clear what “it” is in your comment, even if you get the Center Parcs=bumsex reference. The topic is lube labelling.

Not sure - never tried, I can go and check later, but you can decant it into a plain bottle.

Hilaire! What day was it on, gota see this, this wouldn’t have happened in my day, this country’s going to the dogs etc!

Jellyheadbang · 22/12/2017 03:47

I keep a locked box under my bed, old school stylie strong box for all my contraband and sexual paraphernalia.
When my kids are older no doubt they’ll try and look inside but currently I don’t have to worry.
Always remember as a high school kid how we’d rifle through various parents drawers and invariably find their porn and vibe stashes. It’s a rite of passage I think.

AkimboLimbo · 22/12/2017 19:00

The label does peel off the sliquid so it would just be a clear bottle with a clear liquid inside it.
I do think you need to have some boundaries for your kids though!

areynold · 23/12/2017 21:25

AkimboLimbo Thank you for checking this.

We have boundaries set of course but I just don’t want to take the risk. Can you imagine the effect it would have if they found it and worked out what it was for!

BoobleMcB · 24/12/2017 15:45

How old are your DC? What would they find the lube and automatically work out it was for bum sex? 🤔

Even if they are of an age where they are sex aware, surely the last conclusion they would jump to is "Oh mum must be doing it up the bum..."?!?!

areynold · 24/12/2017 19:20

BoobleMcB That depends what it says on the label. Some of the labels are pretty explicit about what they are for.

You don't need to be a genius to work out what bit.ly/2BibwCc is saying.

OP posts:
BoobleMcB · 24/12/2017 20:05

Now you're just being pert. That example is clearly extreme. The majority of other lubes are nothing like that and you know it. What's wrong with sliquid or KY packaging?

Lubes are used for other reasons other than anal sex you know

I used mine as a shaving oil! The silicone version gives an incredibly smooth finish Grin

mickhucknallspinkpancakes · 25/12/2017 00:37

I imagine if they are old enough to read and understand the label, they will never bring the subject up in conversation OP....
