Discreet lube for bum sex

areynold · 19/12/2017 11:31

I want to get some suitable lube for bum sex but all the products I see only have very conspicuous labelling on the bottles. That makes it impossible to have in the house.

Is there good lube with discreet labelling? What do you other people do?

If you've found this page in search of lubes that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best lubricants useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

Ooo @AkimboLimbo great idea for using it to shave!

areynold · 25/12/2017 08:31

Very interesting about using it to shave! I should try that.

Sliquid says “natural intimate glide” on the label and if you google it pretty much the first things you see are “ Simple. Safe. Sexy”, “Natural intimate lubricant” and “A slippery water-based Lubricant to enhance pleasure and sensation” without having to follow any links. Obviously if you actually follow one of the links (which they can’t do on the devices we have locked down) it gets more explicit. Children are now taught to google in infant school it seems and I have encourage them to look up anything they don’t understand!

In the end it comes down to my attitude to risk, which is nervous shall we say. I never claimed to be brave.

Out of curiosity, how old are your DC?

areynold · 26/12/2017 21:14

BoobleMcB As a matter of principle I avoid giving away any information about my DC online, even anonymously.

Between the coconut oil and peeling off the label from the Sliquid bottle I think we have it covered though. Thank you MNers.

Vaseline?

NotTheFordType · 07/01/2018 19:15

Why are you worried about the lube label and not the condoms though?

NotTheFordType · 07/01/2018 19:16

Sorry - it was someone else who mentioned condoms.

I'd go with decanting into a different, washed out bottle, maybe just a general moisturiser or body lotion?

CheekyChaCha · 07/01/2018 20:15

Saintsfan7 Does vaseline really work for bumsex?? It never even occurred to me.

AkimboLimbo · 07/01/2018 20:35

Vaseline really isn't suitable. It's oil based, too thick and just not slippery enough.

Saintsfan7 · 07/01/2018 21:57

Vaseline is my wifes preffered lube ( we've tried a few). Its oil based as you say so doesn't dry out like water based lubes, and being oil based is infinitely more slippery than water. And no awkward questions when someone finds it in the bathroom cabinet Wink
