We're ttc. Yesterday we had sex and immediately I thought 'that's it, this was the time that's going to make our next baby'.

Through 8 years of ttc I've never had that thought and it just sprung up spontaneously in my mind.

I'm fully aware that it's totally impossible for there to be anything in it. But indulge me. Has anyone ever had the same thought and subsequently found out that they DID make a baby when they thought they had?

For balance, I got that feeling a couple of times when we were ttc. It never meant anything.

I'm not a fan of superstition, but yes,when DS was conceived a few months after an early miscarriage I felt "sure" that was the "moment".

It's bonkers really given the time the sperm can take to reach the egg.

Statistically the truth is that those like me, who have felt "that moment" represent no more than a small section of the mathematical probability of conception. Those that felt the same but didn't conceive probably dismissed those feelings.

Mum did with me and was right

DH was convinced every time but it never was (we needed IVf in the end)
