Help! Sex with my period?

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 19:49

I'm seeing my lovely new chap tomorrow. Early days but we had a fantastic time with each other a couple of weeks ago. Not yet in the realms of frank discussions abound bodily functions etc though...

Anyway... my period started a week ago and is dragging on. It's doing that last few days of brown thing. More than spotting but less than a full pad's worth each day.

I think going to have to inform him of this so as not to cause any embarrassment at bedtime. Not sure how or when to approach this.

Advice please :-/

I wouldn't feel comfortable so early on, would rather not have sex, there will be plenty of other times!

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 20:19

Too late for purchase of soft tampons.... :(

Just tell him, dudes know we get periods.

Some don't even mind a bit of crime scene sex.

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 20:20

Might just wear a normal one and broach the subject... other stuff we can do?

gamer... text in advance though or tell him in person closer to the event?

WeDoNotSow · 11/04/2017 20:23

Closer to the event, defintely!

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 20:23

Rioja we live in different towns and meetups are pre planned. Can't just see him in a few days.

God if it's just the last bit I'd just mention it on the night. Wouldn't occur to me not to have sex with that. And would be a bit put off a man that didn't want to.

gamerchick · 11/04/2017 20:26

Just tell him if it's needed as and when, honestly it's not that big a deal.

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 20:29

Yes - kind of thinking that myself. If it freaks him out it doesn't bode well generally. If I'm lucky it will be even less tomorrow. I'm probably over thinking.

Read somewhere that ibuprofen might help... anyone know about this?

Crime Scene Sex! Love that phrase

peggyundercrackers · 11/04/2017 20:38

just let him shag you up the arse. Hmm

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 20:39

I don't do bum sex Grin

OP posts:
CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 20:40

Surely bum sex is FAR more brown than end of period sex anyway? Smile

OP posts:
GuinessPunch · 11/04/2017 20:43

I wouldn't think of having sex on my period let alone with someone I've just met.
I can't believe pp said she would be put off by someone not wanting to do it!

pigeondujour · 11/04/2017 20:53

Why? I would be intensely unattracted to a man that was squeamish about menstruation.

WeDoNotSow · 11/04/2017 20:58

. I thought it was quite common to be extra horny when on?!?

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 21:02

I'm not a bloodbath by the way / is just the brown streaky thing at the end. Not Hammer Horror...

OP posts:
Patriciathestripper1 · 11/04/2017 21:05

Ask him if he'd like to earn his red wings Grin

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 21:05

I have two kids, I'm well into my 40s... really could not be arsed with a highly squeamish bloke who faints at the discussion. I don't think he will by the way.

I'm not going to force the man to put it up there. More likely we will have a chat and possibly decide to be 'resourceful' about the situation. Sex is not just about vaginal penetration....

My main concern here is about the timing of the news tbh. Better if he's digested the info a little while beforehand or risk killing the mood if I inform him when he's ready for action?

OP posts:
DragonNoodleCake · 11/04/2017 21:16

But surely if you are at the point of having sex - you are at the point of talking about sex and the associated bodily function. A simple, 'btw I'm just on the last day of my period' mid snog should suffice.

CreamTeaTotty · 11/04/2017 21:23

Ta Dragon - can others chip in on this point so I can decide in the am best course of action. Ta x
