... I see colours, patterns and shapes. Having never spoken about this to anybody before, I assumed it was a completely normal part of the experience.

I mentioned it to my DH in bed the after night (after a particularly vibrant orgasm in purples and silver, in the shape of leaves) and he tells me that he has no idea what I'm talking about. I assume it's a woman thing, so I ask my sister, and.... nope. Definitely not. Just me.

Is there anyone else out there that has this?? It's different every time... the first time I ever had an orgasm it was literally like seeing the night sky, like being catapulted into the stars, it was amazing! Sometimes I see waves in green and blue, sometimes it's white or yellow and very intense - this all seemed SO normal to me up until right now!!

Is there anybody out there who can make me feel less weird about this?? Feeling like a total nutter.

I get this. Sometimes it's full images, sometimes it's like I'm inside a prism of colourful light. It's only ever happened with current DP. I'm keeping him.

Not colours as such, but sometimes when DH is making a special effort my vision goes very dark and everything looks very shadowed but also quite sparkly at the same time. My hearing goes very muffled too. Does that sound similar?

Also sometimes if I get up too quickly afterwards my vision goes almost completely and I can see sparkly white lights. But think this might be to do with having low blood pressure?

Yes I get this too. It's generally orange and I slightly oddly feel textures too?!? Best I could describe it as being immersed very pleasantly into a honey like texture but more of an orange colour.

I have had it occasionally. It sounds a bit like an exertion migraine with just the aura. I get synaesthesia when I have a migraine and see noises like this.

I also had it when I was in labour.

Out of curiosity orgasm colour people - are you doing it lights on or off? Pretty sure when I have seen it it is in the dark.

I sort of get this, only its little scenes that play out. Really random stuff, like an army of you solider snatching into the distance... Or lots of forks clanging together. Oddly it doesn't detract from the feeling, but adds to it.

Lights on and off too - doesn't seem to make a difference, although I think the darker it is, the easier it is to get lost in the sensations and carried away with the colours.

Foulsome, I have those scenes too occasionally. They are usually very very random too. Once I had lemons swirling into a spiral.

I had it during labour too! Only my first labour as my second was fucking awful. During the first I saw graduated colours from very dark red to soft pink, in ripples like the underside of a mushroom. They were gradually pressing back and opening - this happened just as he came through my cervix.
