Hi

Dd is taking her French GCSE next year, and as her school do not do any language exchanges or trips we have thought of booking one for this summer holiday, does anyone know of any they can recommend?

The alliance francaise is a good starting point.

I work with an organisation in Brittany which places French children in English families and is now finding there is more and more demand to place English children with French families and also adults who wish to improve their French/English.

I've taken a couple of French students in the past and their English has drammatically improved over the course of a week. They could also try and place your DD with a family that has a qualified French teacher who could provide a one on one extra lesson (extra cost of course - but well worth it).

The Association is called Bringing People Together www.bringing-people-together.fr

Don't worry about the French on the page they are all either English or fluent English speakers so feel to contact in English.

The French children pay 450 euros per week to stay with an English family.

Hope this was of help.

Try Accord Ecole de Langues.

Camps for teenagers and families in both Paris and the South Of France.
